Guest guest
Hi Kathy! I am a 68 year old woman, retired, with 3 children and 6 grandchildren...3 adopted from China, India and Cincinnati, Ohio.I was tenatively diagnosed when I was 6 but didn't know it ubtil I was 45.I have restless legs sometimes but never related it to CMT. My mother also has restless legs...drove my father crazy...he would tell her to lay still and quit jumping around. She does not have CMT..he did. The only thing I can do is lay down for awhile and stretch or start something different to do and sometimes that takes my mind off of it and sometimes not.I've never mentioned it to the Dr..I wonder what he would say. If I can remember I'll ask him next time. I wonder if anyone has experienced eye problems. My dad had CMT and the part of skin just under the eye turned inward and irritated the eye. @ times about 5 years apart he had to have surgery to tighten that up because the muscle had atophied and the skin sagged. The Dr said sometimes that happens with CMT but I hope I don't have that inheritance also. Hope to hear from you...What are your main challenges due to CMT? Are you ambulatory? What do you see as positives in your life? Sue
