Guest guest
Welcome Angie, The tingling is just coming from the nerves. It is not an indication of progression or that progression will worsen. It is just a symptom of the neuropathy. CMT symptoms can be very idiopathic - my own symptoms have come and gone, sometimes come back, then go away. You will learn to listen to your body over time and know what to do. I have found that exercise of all extremities is very beneficial for me, besides cardio and resistance training. A physical therapist can show you some simple exercises to keep your fingers flexible - these are best done in warm water, and regularly. You can even do them in a hottub or bathtub. As for your leg cramps - try drinking a glass of Tonic water before bed. Tonia water has quinine in it and the quinine helps leg cramps as well as restless legs. If you get a little relief, ask your neurologist about prescription quinine for this. Gretchen
