Guest guest
This topic has me wondering if any of us could test positive for Fibro. _Manual Tender Point Survey - Fibromyalgia_ (http://fmaware.org/doctor/tenderpt.htm) I have many tender points that they use to test for fibro but they are all caused from CMT. Or caused from over working my other muscles to make up for other weak muscles. If I were to go into a rheumatologist I would test off the charts for fibro. Anyone else with CMT have these tender points? CMT1A **** , interesting site you found. I can only pick out the gluteal tender points for me, and I think that may be due to some scarring or even near where the screws and bone stimulator were implanted from back surgery, so, definitely, I have to say, no fibro here. Just plain old CMT. lol ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
, In looking at the website and the tender spots that they refer to, most of them are the same spots in the " Trigger Point Therapy Workbook " that I mentioned in a post within the past couple of weeks. The book mentions that a lot of people diagnosed with Fibromyalgia can work on the trigger points themselves and gain a lot of relief from their muscle pain. I can tell you from first hand experience that I had severe lower back pain and since I started treating the trigger points for the lower back I haven't had any flare ups in weeks and even was able to work for 4 days straight all day in retail last week covering the family business while the rest of the family was away. A few months ago that would have been out of the question due to the pain and numbness in my legs and feet. ~
