Guest guest
Around September of 2001 I came down with CP and it has never let up. The first couple of years were really scary. I didn't even know how to get rid of the pain or what was causing it. Sometimes I thought about suicide if I couldn't find anything that helped. When I rode bikes I didn't feel any discomfort. However at night, I could barely get to bed...Eventually I learned that riding bikes especially in higher gears was part of the problem. Today I still ride but in very low gears and slow, and not more than a few miles. This has helped greatly to the point where I do not go to bed in pain or wake up from pain. Bikes are kind of like a wheel chair for me.. Anyways, although I have been diagnosed with CP by a few doctors, I have never had an MRI, just an x-ray that didn't show anything. My question is will an MRI pick up CP damage well? I'm very low income and my mom is a wealthy luddite so there's been a lot of reservation about going through with one. However maybe with an MRI I'll have proof of my disability and can at least get disability discounts with public transporation and other social services. - Portland, Oregon P.S. Try the icy hot pain gel-the blue stuff for sale at most pharmacies if you haven't tried it yet. P.P.S.
