Guest guest
Dear Gretchen, Thank you so much for your kind words. It is helpful knowing that someone is in your corner. Life is about having those around us that care and that includes this list. I am glad to have my computer working better had to call my aol and they guided me through it. So maybe I can email more to the cmt list when I am not busy with 5 children. I am very thankful that I found you and this list it has made a world of difference in the way I approach life. Guest guest
Heidi, Thanks for sharing this. Knowing your life's experiences and educational background and qualifications you will make an excellent homeschool teacher. I would have loved homeschool. Except I don't think I could have spent so much time with my Mom. lol I would have rather gone to work with my Dad when I was 12. I certainly learned so much MORE from work than school could EVER teach me. When I was of legal working age here (16) I went to work half-days (besides go to private school) and learned so much about economics, relationships, writing, math, science, culture, all kinds of interesting things, you name it. I know Sayge, Kelseigh and Jory will have the best home school around! Gretchen
Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am a special education teacher and I support any parent that is able to stay home at teach their children. I would love to stay home and teach my own. unfortunatly I can't. Meanwhile my first grader learned all kinds of things that I didn't want him to learn yet that are not good from school and riding the bus to school. I have known many students that were homeschooled for elementary school and came to my school for Jr. High and each one is ahead of the rest of their class. I believe you do have to have some sort of qualifications to homeschool, but I am not sure. Each state may be different. I also believe that the students still need to take the state tests and perform better then the nonhomeschooled peers. Jen
Guest guest
Hi Heidi, Just wanted to let you know that I have CMT and also homeschool. I have 3 kids, and the fatigue can really wear me down. Yet the rewards of homeschooling are worth it all. It's good for the kids to learn how to help out more when Mom needs it. I just had 3 of my toes straightened 2 weeks ago, and my girls, age 7 and 10 have really been a blessing after my surgery. They help me make meals and take care of their little brother. They are learning real life lessons being at home so much. Lori
