Guest guest
Laurie, Have you thought of looking into in-shoe orthotics? They will give the bottom of your feet a cushion and make walking more pleasurable. If they're made right, by a certified orthotist, they will alleviate the pain. But, you will need your doctor to give you a prescription and a recommendation for a orthotist. My orthotics are great. Last visit mine were wrapped in suede and that has cut down on the burning feet too. Guest guest
Laurie, You should probably see an orthopedic specialist. I had a similiar problem a couple years ago and I was diagnosed with Plantar Facitis and needed orthotics to relieve the constant pain. BTW I am somewhat new to the group. I was diagnosed with CMT during Junior High (about 25 years ago) when I was stumpling, failing to keep up with others in gym, etc. Unfornately for me I learned that overtaxing the muscles could lead to problems, but I went the wrong way and undertaxed them and now of course overweight. Anyway, compared to most I have mild case of CMT, but it appears to be progressing slightly. Thank you for providing various bits of information to help with feet problem (going to look into those New Balance 925's) and other points. Guest guest
Laurie, I've experienced sore heels when I walk around in barefeet too much. What has helped me in the past is to stand on the edge of a step and stretch out my calf muscles. I was told to do this by an MDA doctor 20 years ago. He said to go up and down 20 times, with both feet at the same time. It's good to do it everyday and I haven't been, so this is a good reminder for me too. Guest guest
I had bone spurs years ago and to me that's what they could be. It took an x-ray to figure it out. They shave the splinters off the heels of your feet if that's what they are...
