Guest guest
Hi Marti, Then doctors should say they don't know the percentage rate and not tell people it's 50/50 the doctors told that to my father and sister when they had the DNA test and asked if I should get tested he said since my sister had it I don't. I didn't find out till about 2 years later when I got hurt at work and they did an EMG that I found out I had CMT. I did construction for 13 years when I got hurt if I knew I had CMT maybe I could have done something. Now because of the CMT and my back injury I can't work any more because of the chronic pain I have. So if one parent has CMT you should have all your kids checked and keep an eye on them. My father didn't get diagnosed till he was about 58 my sister was 32 and I was 33. Tommy
