Guest guest
I have about 6 osteophytes in my left knee, I have chrondomalacia-very severe due to an accident about 33 years ago. My orthopod told me the only treatment available is replacement when the pain is unbearable. But this is the deal: I can bear with pretty incredible pain, I walk my dog on uneven ground even now 2-3 miles a day on uneven ground. BUT, now this knee just buckles without any warning involuntarily. My PT and orthopod in the past told me this is a protective reflex. Furthermore, the PT has told me that more PT will only aggravate it and that even if I don't perceive the pain as that bad, my body does. She recommended I go back in for evaluation before I fall and hurt myself. So, when is time?
