Guest guest
Can anyone recommend a brand of gfcf vitamin also free of sugar and common allergens, which has no flavorings, artificial or natural? We'd been using Kirkmans Everyday, which is unflavored, gfcf, and very hypoallergenic, but I'm wondering if the glutamine it contains could have been causing problems and want to switch to something else. Any recommendations? Thanks
Guest guest
a lot of people speak well of Brainchilds Nutritionals at www.brainchildnutritionals.com. It is supposed to be very good tasting to kids (at least they get it down without hassle) and covers a lot of supplement ground. I have been using All-One which is not very allergenic, but the mixing and taste is a hurdle. I am baking it in cookies at the moment but the taste is hard to disguise. . Guest guest
Kerry, Gretchen is correct go back and look through the archives. Read up on the Vitamin C threads. I did the same thing after joining the group and it was the best thing I have ever done. Vitamin C has helped my symptoms very much and I have only been on it for a few months. I have Type 1A. Good Luck. ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
I use alot of stuff but I use magnesium religiously! Usually 1200 mgs before I go to sleep. It keeps me regular and I do have a problem with my system when I get sick so this at least keeps one thing moving. > > > Some from another list mentioned citrate in vitamins is made from corn. Guest guest
THe body needs to maintain a Ca-Mg balance. You need to check w/ a dr with that much Mg and no Ca to work w/it. Guest guest
Magnesium taken orally does little to nothing. You can get magnesium flakes to soak in and get a much better benefit.   Do not know about the corn. Guest guest
From what I understand.. citrate if good for loosening stools.. and glycinate and malate forms are best.. each with their own benefit which I cannot remember.. I take both Pure encapsualtions glyclinate from natural healthy concepts (cheapest source I have found) malate from iherb.. I did use and like the NSI brand from vitacost but stopped shopping with them recently. Transdermal magnesium .. chloride (another good form Ive heard) from swansons... supposed same as ancient minerals, but way cheaper (you can get flakes for a bath or foot soak as well). Just google swansons transdermal magnesium. The mag chloride flakes are supposedly absorbed bettr than epsom salt mag sulfate.. some with cfs need sulfur and some dont.. if it makes you feel worse dont use the epsom salt form. When my sons legs are jumpy, we use the transdermal and it seems to help. The claim is you can use so many sprays a day for such a length of time to equal so many mag IVs. Guest guest
That I have heard the Encient Minerals is the purest soruce . I never heard of Swanson but will look into it. Also on the Ancient Site is a PDF that tells you according to your weight how much you need to use. I know someone who benefited greatly from it who suffered from epilepsy. She has been siezure free for 3 years and always had them since being a child , she uses ancient minerals bath flakes.   It comes in bath flakes, trasdermal oil , I used it for My simba when he became paralized too. After bathes with baking soda and epson salts. Simba is walking again.  God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: listspub <listspub@...> Sent: Sun, August 22, 2010 10:15:59 PM Subject: [] Re: Vitamin question  From what I understand.. citrate if good for loosening stools.. and glycinate and malate forms are best.. each with their own benefit which I cannot remember..
