Guest guest
Hello to all, I am 47 years old. I teach high school and have three terrific daughters ages 15,18, and 20. I and was diagnosed with CMT type 1B last year. I was the kid in elementary school that was always teased for being clumsy. The diagnosis explained my lifelong battle poor balance, sprained and broken ankles, and hands that feel more comfortable in a clenched fist position. It also gave my family the diagnosis for the mysterious illness that plagued my mother's side for generations. After the diagnosis, I began a strenuous exercise regimine. I am really scared of losing mobility and I hope the intense workouts keep that at bay. At least I am in better shape now than at any time of my life. I have been encouraged by reading the posts on this site. Thanks to all of you! I am really glad to be a part of this group. ~
