Guest guest
Hi , My name is and am going to be 45 next month and have a daughter who is 23 and going to graduate college with a BA in psycology. Anyway, she knows what I have now, but I was only diagnosed officially this past summer. She doesn't deny what I have and is supportive, but doesn't want to even hear the idea she might have it also. I don't want to push her and worry her also. She's got a bad left foot twitch, which she's had for years, but other than that, I'm not sure if she has any other symtoms, she lives 7 hrs away. She does now say to me , " Remember mom when I was 13 and you couldn't walk right? " ..I did have ALL the symtoms, and now have something to connect them to, which is a relief. My calf muscles used to be like rocks...people thought I ran. I guess I was compensating for other muscles that weren't up to par. That's the only thing I can think of, and the fact I have always worked on my feet. Sometimes it seems like kids rather deny things as a protective mechanism for themselves. He is probably so worried about you, and doesn't want to think anything is wrong. Best of luck...it will all work out...
