Karnataka: Post of State Coordinator for an HIV/AIDS prevention project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR STATE COORDINATOR

Abhaya-a Health Initiative of ActionAid Karnataka Projects, supported

by the Karnataka Health Promotion Trust, is implementing a HIV/AIDS

Prevention Project in two Districts of Karnataka, namely Davangere

and Shimoga.

The project invites applications for the post of STATE COORDINATOR.

Requirements:

• Masters Degree/Doctorate in Community Health, Social Work or

equivalent

• At least 10 years of NGO related experience in project

planning and implementation. Experience in health related projects

will be preferred

• Excellent Communication skills in English and Kannada, both

verbal and written, along with computer proficiency

• Ability to lead a team while integrating within the team

• Ability to make presentations and facilitate in training

workshops

• Extensive travel between the two districts, Karnataka state

and elsewhere as required

• Below 45 years of age

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of implementation and logistics of the project

• Design and develop action plans and assist in the development

of teaching/training manuals and other related publications

• Build rapport and establish excellent working relationship

with all stakeholders

• Maintain and process data for project related work including

monitoring and evaluation

• Perform other duties as assigned

The project is likely to extend for a period of 4 to 5 years and the

Gross Monthly Salary will be Rs.25000/. The position is based at

Bangalore and will involve at least 20 days of travel into the

districts every month.
