I tend to feel tired by mid afternoon. I discussed this with my neurologist

and orthopedic doctors. They explained to me that since have lost feeling in my

lower legs, my muscles are not getting the messages through the nerves to

keep as strong as they should be.

And as to what they should do when I walk. So when I walk it is the same as a

normal person tying a 10 pound weight to each leg and walking around. It takes

a lot more effort for me to walk around. My gait using more energy as a swing

my legs to get them to move forward.

I had my sister take a video of me taking a walk and I could see what the

doctors were talking about. At 51 I shouldn't get as tired as I do but CMT has

hurried this along.

Naps are wonderful in the afternoon just 30 minutes revives me to finish my day.

This is just what is making me more tired. I hope it gives

you something to think about.

Cathleen,

You're not alone with afternoon fatigue. I experience the same thing and also

try to nap in the afternoon when I can. As Gretchen or someone explained to me,

takes twice as much effort to do half the work. Good luck!
