Guest guest
I have been feeling overwhelmed lately and I have not been able to find time with making natural products. I have a lot of shea butter and cocoa butter which I keep in my fridge because I don't want it to get messed up. I also have like 5lb of coconut oil and soybean oil. I have 1 gallon of numerous oils like: (2) 1 gal. extra virgin olive oil, grapeseed oil, glycerin, rice bran, castor oil, organic aloe oil, apricot kernel, and sunflower. I have 1/2 gal of the following: avocado, safflower, and hazelnut, I have 10lbs of dead sea salt and walnut shell powder. I have xanthan gum, PABA, 5lbs of milk powder and 10lbs of citric acid. I have only a few essential oils lavender, orange, peppermint, and cedarwood I have 16oz of carrot oil, 16oz of hydrolyzed wheat protein and 32oz of neem oil. Not to forget 16 oz jars of aloe butter, emulsifying wax and so much fragrances it is ridiculous which is sitting in a mini refridgerator, so it won't lose it scent. Of course you may know I spend a lot if money on these items, but I am so tired from work and school I barely have time to sleep. I work with low functioning disabled individuals who can't really do anything for themselves and I am taking bio classes, like chemistry and etc. After work and studying I am pooped. I tried making lotion and body butters but something always goes wrong. I think it has to do with the heating of the oils and melting of the shea and cocoa butters. Plus I try to make small batches but it always turns out like I am making for 30 people. I have made lip balm and a body scrub, which were successes and I learned how to make soap but I don't even have the time for it. Writing all of this right now is making me sad, I just need to be pushed toward a right direction because I would truly be upset if I tried to make lotion and creams again and it just got messed up again. I am will to sacrifice some sleep time just to make beautiful natural products. Can anyone share any technique you may have for making lotions, body butters and etc? I can be emailed at kimaada1920@... TIA Miss A
