Betty,

I had foot surgery at age 9 on left foot and on right foot at age 10. My sister

had surgery on both feet at the same time that I had my second surgery. I

personally am glad that I did not have both feet done at the same time, as I was

able to get around on crutches and my sister was stuck in a wheelchair. I think

that her strength was permanently weakened due to lack of all activity.

If I were to do it again, I would still have it done in two sessions even though

it doubles up on the recovery time. I do not remember the pain lasting for more

than a few days and being ambulatory does a lot for moral. I expect it would be

less expensive to have both feet done at the same time, but for me it would be

more stressful. Good luck in whatever decision you make.

Ruth
