Guest guest
Betty, I had foot surgery at age 9 on left foot and on right foot at age 10. My sister had surgery on both feet at the same time that I had my second surgery. I personally am glad that I did not have both feet done at the same time, as I was able to get around on crutches and my sister was stuck in a wheelchair. I think that her strength was permanently weakened due to lack of all activity. If I were to do it again, I would still have it done in two sessions even though it doubles up on the recovery time. I do not remember the pain lasting for more than a few days and being ambulatory does a lot for moral. I expect it would be less expensive to have both feet done at the same time, but for me it would be more stressful. Good luck in whatever decision you make.
