Hi Robin:

You surely caught on to the Canada part. The only place in Canada where you

can play golf year round is on the West coast in and around Vancouver,

British Columbia. With all the rain that has fallen in BC the golfers would

need rubber boots now.

However, here in Port Elgin, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron it is minus

7 degrees Celsius or 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The golf courses are covered in

snow. We don't get to play until the middle of April and it normally ends

near the middle of October. People were golfing here in November this year

(very unusual weather).

The hole-in-one was the 1st of my 33 years of golf. I made the hole-in-one

on hole number 13. The golfer sharing a golf cart with me that year had hit

a hole-in-one in 2000, and won the use of a Mercury Cougar for 2 years. Talk

about coincidental.

Initially, I truly was more excited about hitting a hole-in-one than winning

$20,000. I kept " jumping " up and down yelling " I got a hole-in-one " .

Everyone else was yelling " you won a car, you won a car " .

Regards,
