Dr from Chicago - to Carol

Hello, I was reading a post from Carol about a Dr. who works out of

Chicago, I live in the Chicago area and would LOVE to know who this

is. My daughter is 13 severely affected with CMT, always looking for

a good Doc!

I don't post much, but I do read the post everyday. I love learning about so

much information out there. I do feel somewhat isolated however, for the reason

being that my daughter seems to be the only child, person out there so severly

affected, starting to wonder if CMT is really what she has.

Been in a wheelchair since she has been 8, no movement in feet since about 2.

Hands don't work at all, just hang at the wrist. Our 16 year old doesn't have

CMT, neither do my husband or myself, can't find any family members with any

signs of it.

Explained that our daughter might just be the first to start this cycle in our

family. Have any of you ever heard this? Anyway, love all the positive feed

back, just feeling somewhat overwhelmed at the moment.
