Dear Moderator,

Please post the announcement below on behalf of the World Bank.

Inviting speakers for World Bank workshop at International AIDS conference in

Bangkok.

The Leadership Program on AIDS at the World Bank Institute in Washington DC will

host a 3 hour skills building session on " Developing High Impact Leadership

Skills on HIV/AIDS " as part of the Leadership Program at the XV International

AIDS Conference in Bangkok on July 15 (4-7pm, local time).

We are looking for speakers who are champions in their fields of expertise in

promoting substantive leadership on HIV/AIDS. We are inviting leaders from

different sectors including NGO, political, education, media, urban, health,

entertainment,economic, transport, IT and of different levels of leadership e.g.

high level, implementers, and grass-root leaders to be speakers during this

session.

Speakers will be expected to share their experiences-both challenges and

successes in promoting leadership on HIV/AIDS for 10 minutes and take part in a

discussion with the audience for 15 minutes. The session is designed to be

discussion oriented and will seek to allow a free exchange of ideas, discussion

and debate to deal with issues head on. We are also inviting experts who will

serve as discussants during this session.

If you feel that you or someone you know is a champion in the field of HIV/AIDS

and would be interested in participating in this workshop, or will like to serve

as a discussant during the discussion sessions, please complete the form below

and send it to undersigned. Limited sponsorship may be made available to key

speakers. Selected speakers will be notified upon which a formal commitment will

be made by the World Bank.
