Guest guest
After two years of pain, 4 doctors, 2 PTS (failed both times) and 2 sports medicine chiropractors, it's been determined I don't have chonromalacia but just patellar tracking disorder. Does anyone with JUST patellar tracking disorder have a lateral release success story?
Guest guest
Nope...mine probably started out as a tracking problem but with such a long time of no doctors willing to fix the tracking, I now have CP in my left knee. My right was fixed a long time ago but it was too late as well. The docs here just don't understand CP...AT ALL. Now that I'm going to be 50 later this year they might finally think I'm " old enough " for them to help me. I'm not going to hold my breath! Guest guest
I had a lateral release done by scope on my right knee 21 yes ago, and was able to run half marathons. Now my other knee is painful and I can't run...after a partial meniscectomy over a yr ago. I've lost my faith in orthopedist's and am going for stem cell. It's done by an MD here in Colorado near me so I'm lucky. That's a long story! Am trying to avoid more surgery. Guest guest
I had a lateral release in Feb 1998 and it lasted until Nov 2010. Worked great, but didn't solve the missing cartilage problem which I am facing now. After the surgery, you have to cut down on impact sports and really baby the knee in my opinion, to make it last longer.
