Dear Forum,

Ref: [ Norris, Senior Fellow, of the Hudson Institute in

Washington's article " Mine is Mine; What's Yours is Negotiable " ]

I am shocked at the degree of adversity against generics who alone

made a difference with regard to access to ARV drugs in developing

countries.

It almost sounded like a hate mail!!!

In the interests of transparency, a little background information re the article

by Norris of the Hudson Institute. Among the largest donors to the

Hudson Institute is an organisation called " Pharmaceutical Research and

Manufacturers of America " . The members of said organisation include

GlaxoKline, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Dear Mr.Norris,

I do not know whether you are a PR person for pharmaceutical companies.

I have studied the modus operandi of some of the International Brand Name Pharma

industries in India; profit above people has been their consistent motto. I beg

to differ with your position. CIPLA & MSF have done yeoman service to HIV+

people.
