POSITION: HIV/AIDS KNOWLEDGE COORDINATOR

LOCATION: SAATHII's Chennai office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The candidate will be expected to coordinate SAATHII's Online Resource

Center and related capacity-building activities, such as

(i) Implementing online and offline forums for information-sharing,

including discussion groups, workshops, research roundtables, etc.

(ii) gathering, classifying and uploading information for online

libraries and databases.

(iii) developing training modules.

(iv) conducting information- and training- needs assessments of NGO and

CBO service providers.

REQUIRED:

- Post-graduate degree in natural or social sciences, technology,

humanities or related area.

- 3-5 years of experience in information dissemination, training and

technical assistance, with at least 2 core knowledge areas in HIV/AIDS

prevention, care, support or treatment.

- Familiarity with the web, wordprocessing, spreadsheet and

presentation software.

- Familiarity with managing e-communities, either listserv- or BBS-

based

- Experience in primary, secondary or operations research

- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and one

other Indian language.

PREFERRED:

- Knowledge of at least one northern and one southern Indian language.

- Experience with web design.

- Electronic database experience a plus.
