I know of two naturopathic doctors in Oregon who treat Lyme Disease and test with Igenix test. My sister I believe has Lyme Disease in Salem. She has not gone as yet to see one of these fine doctors. How far is Spokane from Portland? Both doctors are ILADS trained. One is a chiropractor/naturopath. Let me know if you are interested and email me if you are interested in their names. From: propertyfile@...To: bird mites Sent: Tuesday, January 3, 2012 11:04:51 PMSubject: Re: Has anyone tried lymesulfur dip on pets to kill mites?Aandraya, I'm in Washington State near Spokane. I saw your other post about how this can affect the brain. I know personally I feel like I've been losing IQ points. It's very hard for me to focus and concentrate. What did you have to do to get you Lyme under control and how long did it take? Thank you for offering to find a doctor. -Yes, as Lyme progresses it does effect the brain in a big way. Before I was diagnosed I even thought I might be getting Alzheimers. Presently I am not able to even work, and I'm 2 years into treatment. You DON'T want to let it get out of hand. There are a couple LLMDs in northern CA, I'm not sure about WA though I know Lyme is endemic there. Let me ask some people and I'll get back to you. I also suggest you join the WA Lyme board because you can find out who people are seeing out there. All the symptoms you have mentioned are classic Lyme and they will wax and wane and eventually become more severe. Aandraya On Jan 4, 2012, at 1:04 AM, "propertyfile@..." <propertyfile@...> wrote:

Thanks & Aandraya.  2 dr. appointments next week...think they will probably put me on more meds for co-infections.  It took a solid 30 days.

Still get some bites at night & crawlies when using some blankets, though.

Elissa-You might be ready for Rifampin or Levaquin, the main Bartonella meds. But if you have Babesia you have to start on that right away and stay with it to the end. Bactrim covers both, the crawlies is Bart.AandrayaOn Jan 4, 2012, at 2:52 PM, Elissa <elissarachel@...> wrote:

My pregnancy complicates things a bit...have to confirm with my LLMD and midwife before I take anything, but I'm ready to start co-infection meds now!

That's so great. Especially that you responded so quickly to treatment. and I have not been so fortunate. My Lyme and coinfections were really bad by the time I finally got diagnosed. All bugs were gone just short of a year in treatment, but I had a really bad case- I had open lesions and the bugs were even in those. It was awful. Make sure they try you on babesia treatment you'll know then if you have it- bad herx. I know they give Mepron to pregnant women.AandrayaOn Jan 4, 2012, at 4:43 PM, Elissa <elissarachel@...> wrote:

Those results would indicate Lyme. You need to see a Lyme literate practitioner. Trust me on this.AandrayaOn Jan 11, 2012, at 4:48 PM, miteymaid <emccallny@...> wrote:

Aandraya, I talked briefly with the doctor and she said it was a western blot but didn't say if it was Igenix or not. I have 1x of 23kdigm and 1x on 41kdigg. I thought I had small black specs, but it only happened once after I sprayed my mattress and the entomologist said it was debri. Anyway, I haven't seen any since but I can't tell for sure if the bites are only environmental or coming from me which I suspect. I feel them in my feet a lot. I've seen some white lines on my arms and hands but maybe they're just pigment, I don't pay them much attention anymore. I had my apartment sprayed yesterday and will see if this works any better than last time. Still can't get them out of my comforters and sneakers and the little I have left.

If Lyme goes untreated it does get out of hand. Early treatment is so key.AaOn Jan 11, 2012, at 4:48 PM, miteymaid <emccallny@...> wrote:
