Guest guest
Dan, Just about anyone who prescribes antibiotics, it is a little spirochete. Though it depends upon the stage of the disease as old cases have long-term musculoskeletal symptoms among others. Probably go for the infectious disease specialist. Guest guest
Just to cheer you up, , I want to tell you that I am still amazed when looking at the coats of my dogs. Last year when having Leish they were nearly bold, after a few months of palm oil (with food and once a week applied on the skin) they were cured and got the fur of polar wolves. It has NEVER been this thick ... Protozoa (the Leish causing agents) are far more difficult to treat than viruses and - for instance - mycoplasms. You might remember the story of the man in the final stage of Aids, who paid for his funeral and then went to the jungle in S.America, to live his 'last wish'. In the village in Surinam where he found himself, he was given cooked coconut every morning . After 3 weeks he felt a lot better and when back in the States he tested HIV-negative .. He is still alive and healthy, 10 years later. So, Lyme should not be too much of a problem. Thinking of it, I cured one of my dogs many years ago from Borreliosis (Lyme) with Artemisia tablets. I even have the plants now on my land. Guest guest
The acids in coconut and palm oil kill 99% of bacteria, viruses, mycoplasms, protozoa, molds, etc. Besides, coconut oil gives a beautiful skin, boosts the immune system and doesn't make fat ; our body cannot store these 'short chain fatty acids' and burns them for energy. When potato chips were still fried in coconut oil, people were healthier and not obese. When the American Soy Association decided that the (then) 3 B USD fat market in the USA should be theirs, a smear campaign against coconut oil was started. The ASA won ; that's one of the reasons there are so many obese people now. Guest guest
HI, Thank you Early DM? What does that stand for? Eataholic syndrome? is that a joke, sorry not sure what this means. I have read about teh metabolic syndrome as I have also suffered ovarian cysts had one big one removed and a bout 4 burst and i have read that PCOS is part of teh metabolic syndrome. Ive been diagnosed with PCOS 4 times and then 4 times been told i dont have pcos (last time I was told I dont). When i do the diet I have been doing (before i knew i had such a problem with salt) my food is very bland as its gluten free/yeast free/sugar free etc. I do really crave salt at times, I was craving pickles and olives, which id never eaten before these cravings. I did salt my food with sea salt at meal times even more so whilst doing low carb and high protein as the diet is so boring and bland but helped me feel a bit better. SPASM - When i go off the diet ive been doing, I can see the spasm, its looks even worse as my face is so puffy my face droops on the right around my eye, mouth, neck rigid.. When I have stuck to the diet it looks better and i look better until i eat..then i noticed, after putting salt on my foods, which dont affect me I start swelling as i drink water!! When i go to the toilet to pee teh swelling goes down a little but tehn my face is wonky again.. It would make sense i suppose Iam maybe peeing out the K, maybe this is causing my face, neck, arm, leg spasm... It does make sense. I want to do the dash diet but Iam not good with wheat and yeast due to fungal infection. As soon as I eat fruit I get such bad thrush and terrible discharge, sore mouth tounge, fungus at the base of my spine....so i will have to replace the carbs you have mentioned for whole grain rice. Sorry if Iam confusing............ hyperaldosteronism From: lowerbp2@...Date: Wed, 13 Jan 2010 13:33:30 -0600Subject: Re: Lyme If you have early DM aka metabolic syndrome aka eataholic syndrome or eating too much and have excess also you may be more likely to have fungal infections. Guest guest
Some Dr's use " pre-diabetes " to warn of type 2, and maybe get the patient to slow eating, lose weight, and exercise. Based on a BG measurement and I guess BMI. My neighbor's diet handout looks a lot like DASH, and it did work for her. Regards Re: Lyme If you have early DM aka metabolic syndrome aka eataholic syndrome or eating too much and have excess also you may be more likely to have fungal infections. Muscle spasm is classic for PA and low K. I forget if you K is low at the time you are having spasms? Guest guest
Eataholic is no joke. It is a real disease IMHO. Also salt is very addicting in some and it can be difficult to taper it down. Many subjects I have studied on a metabolic unit with different salt intakes complain bitterly when we put them on a normal salt diet. Doc when am I going to get off this low salt diet? Sea salt is as deadly as any other NaCl. All salt is natural and comes from the sea-but the sea salt folks want you to think it is healthier. The increase in Sx suggest you have PA which is worsened as you increase salt intake. This spills out more K giving cramps, spasms, nocturia etc. CE Grim On Jan 14, 2010, at 10:52 AM, jwwright wrote: > Some Dr's use " pre-diabetes " to warn of type 2, and maybe get the > patient to > slow eating, lose weight, and exercise. > Based on a BG measurement and I guess BMI. > My neighbor's diet handout looks a lot like DASH, and it did work > for her. > > Regards > > Re: Lyme > > > > If you have early DM aka metabolic syndrome aka eataholic syndrome > or eating > too much and have excess also you may be more likely to have fungal > infections. > > > Muscle spasm is classic for PA and low K. > > > I forget if you K is low at the time you are having spasms? > CE Grim MD > > On Jan 12, 2010, at 3:32 PM, Mandy Moseley wrote: > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Without excess salt in your diet you will not swell unless you have low albumin.CE Grim MDOn Jan 14, 2010, at 3:01 PM, Mandy Moseley wrote:Hi, The thing is Iam not over weight. Guest guest
All diseases start somewhere and evolve. In the old days we Dxed DM by measuring urine sugar but it has to be very high and we only Dxed the tip of the iceberg. HTN does the same. Once about 120/80 you have "early HTN" AKA prehypertension. But evidence of HTN damage to vessels and risk of stroke are already increase once about 1120 say. For every 10 mm increase above this risk doubles. Indeed if your BP has been running say 90 all the time an goes up to say 110 you now have personal HTN IMHO. On Jan 14, 2010, at 8:42 AM, Mandy Moseley wrote:HI, Thank you Early DM? Especially since dropping salt people have ben saying how much better i look?! The muscle around my mouth where it keeps spasmin t keeps putting my jaw out of line. I cant open my outh properlyto go to the dentist, they refered me to maxiofcail due o this. I can see when my neck tightens into the spasm and other times you cant really see anything?! THis has been partof the reasson i had one doctor saying i had a mental problem because he couldnt see it at that time. The problem is if i eat the foods which cause this, im in no fit state mentally or physcially to exlpain my self. One specialist said it was a neuromuscular problem. From my experience da to day I think when my underlying problem is fixed it will to back to normal. It tightens up alot more at night time aswell. Is this a symptom: My hands go all wrinkly and dry like i have been swimmming. They dry out and then finley peel. I get this on my face aswell at times. It feels horrible but wish i knew what was causing it. Also, does any one suffer yest infections, candidas? Iam seeing a GI specialis for this atbarts aswell. Tomorrow, I'm going to drop spiro to 50 + 25 Inspra. I'm on Levaquin and Doryx. . Not sure what's going on and what direction things will go. Brittles still 50 - 75 percent decreased. Guest guest
I don't really DASH because it has too many calories. Instead, I just don't eat salt and don't eat any prepared foods. We're really boring -  meat, vegetables and maybe a sweet potato or rice.  I did that religiously for about two years. I no longer chart my food but at the time I took in about 800 mg/d. That gave me a urinary sodium too low to quantitate. In the last few months, I've been eating a little more sodium but I'd still guess I'm under 1500 mg. I occasionally have a sandwich of say, tomato, spinach and a little mayo. I don't eat any deli meats because they're all so salty. I used to not even eat a hamburger bun but have lightened up on things like that. I continue with things like Kashi Autumn Light for cereal, and I still place orders online from Healthy Choices. I learned to make a mean meatball, wonderful ground pork/kale/potatoes soup, and home made bread w/o salt. So, my falling BP cannot be from low sodium. Levaquin rather quickly dropped it and then it picked up again when I went on Doryx. Now its down again. Val From: hyperaldosteronism [mailto:hyperaldosteronism ] On Behalf Of Clarence Grim Interesting keep us posted.
