Animal Planet Infested Bird Mite episode

I saw this on 1/20/12. It was advertised to run on 1/13/12 and that was a rerun

of something else.

Plus the preview showed an exterminator taking the nest out after weeks/months

of those mites getting everywhere in the house. And implied that nest removal

got rid of the for good.

I kept thinking, what about all the mites all over the house, in the walls, etc.

Sure enough, they were still there. Alive and kicking!

As soon as I said out loud, " Do they throw away everything? " , it showed the

family piling in their car and driving away, leaving 90% of what they owned in

that contaminated house. It was a rental - easy to leave.

That was about the last scene.

Lesson: if the mites have taken over your home, removing the nest (the source)

is a day late and a dollar short, to say the least!

This episode may be rerun. If you set your DVR to record " Infested " with reruns

included, you'll see it for sure.

Same episode: apartment overrun by oppossums. That was about the grosses thing

I've ever seen! That resident got typhoid and still came back with at least 20

of these flea-infested things in her place. I might have left after seeing one

bear its teeth at me - certainly after he invited all of his friends and they

showed up!
