Guest guest
I only wish when I mentioned the mites that I wouldn't get this blank look. They know about Lyme which is why I started but my chief complaint are the microscopic mites. I do know some have used it and it worked for some, I was only hoping to get a doctor to prescribe it who understood what I was talking about. I thought maybe to take both but then I wouldn't be sure how much. I also think as you age, like myself, medications have different effects and since drug companies don't usually test on older folks it may be harder to tolerate. > > > > > > > > > I thought you might want to hear what Dr. M said about the next > > > phase of my treatment... she also believes Lyme now plays less of > > > a role for me and the coinfections are most prominent. > > > > > > 1. Guest guest
And I did not get well without unconventional medicine, mms being one very important factor. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I thought you might want to hear what Dr. M said about the next > > phase of my treatment... she also believes Lyme now plays less of a > > role for me and the coinfections are most prominent. > > > > > > > > > 1. Guest guest
-No, it doesn't matter. I take it either way. They do recommend taking Doxy with food as it can upset the stomach.AandrayaOn Feb 5, 2012, at 8:49 AM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: Does it matter if I eat ith it or not? s From: Aandraya <aandraya@...>"bird mites " <bird mites > Sent: Saturday, February 4, 2012 11:06 PMSubject: Re: To Aandraya - Yes, it works best when used with an abx because the parasites become resistant to art. That's why it's pulsed 3 on 4 off. Aa On Feb 4, 2012, at 9:11 AM, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote: Can you do artemisinin while on doxy? I'm not getting it now and I believe the Voriconazole/Itracon. has knocked it out finally have been on those meds daily since April 20, 2011. Sounds like a plan. I still say do a trial run of artemisinin to see if you got the babesia, 800 mg a day for a week and see if you herx because people do not recover if babs is still an issue. I thought mine was completely gone until last Oct. when I decided to try some art. I knew almost immediately I hadn't gotten it. I have to send you the ILADS links, keep sending them to your old email. Stay on the Rifampin- (start it again)--everyone she has put on Levaquin has started getting tendinitis. Have no idea how many patients she has used this with. 2. Double the Doxycycline dose to 200 mg 2x/day. 3. Injections of Bicillin (have first dose by her next week), and then once a week injection by husband in rump. I have everything bicillin in frig alrady for it plus syringes. 4. Fluconazole (same as Diflucan) once a day (this is usually given once a week) for a month or longer. 5. After the next 3 months of this she wants me to continue the Doxy and start taking Ivermectin. (The parasite my husband and I had taken in 2009 from Meta Metrix as an unidentified parasite is most likely what they refer to as SL1953). Testing at Fry's labs is $500, but she says everyone she has sent to Fry's labs with similar symptoms has a positive for SL1953. She says save money and start treating for it. It is a protozoan parasite. Treatment is Doxy + 1/4 tab of Ivermectin. 6. Get liver testing done frequently while doing the above. 7. We will be treating for Ehrlichia during this time. 8. She believes that the waxy substance on my face is fungal. It is not biofilm. 9. The bicillin is what she gives for people who are having severe arthritic symptoms. 10. Bicillin has to be given first by medical person; even if person thinks they are not allergic to penicillin some people react to bicillin which is a form of penicillin so have to have epinephrine for allergic reaction if that happens. It was a productive appointment and I'm hopeful and scared about ramping it up.
