Guest guest
Hey All- A friend of a friend of a friend said she likes to mix kombucha with a commercial body lotion to put on her skin. She does it when she uses the lotion and would like a lotion made with the kombucha already in it so she doesn't have to keep mixing it. Does anyone here have experience with it? Would it work like a " normal " tea? I think the idea of using something with probiotics is scaring me from the prospect. Any ideas about using kombucha? Thank you, S.,_._,___
Guest guest
I knew nothing about it until you brought it up and read about it in Wiki. It sounds totally disgusting to me. I have 2 concerns: suppliers - is it made properly and contaminant free and second, it has a a multiple acid content that I WONDER ABOUT - SOME WHERE IN THE RANGE OF 2.5 - 4.5/ That should be taken into consideration when adding to a lotion since you are leaving it on the skin. Water is neutral.I don't know how subbing this tea for water would end up - I guess you could experiment if you think it's worth your time. And of course, checking the ph of what you use and then in the end product.
