Guest guest
Does anyone know what I can add to my body butters to remove the greasy feeling after application. I myself don't mind the greasy feeling as my skin absorbs it, however others don't really care for it.. Any thoughts would be truly appreciated. Guest guest
Do you put cornstarch in yours? I do, and the greasy feeling doesn't last long at all. If you do, you can always add a bit more from what I have been told and it should absorb faster. At any rate, I am not a body butter expert as I have only made 2 batches so far, lol. Just throwing out what I have been told. a Non Greasy Body Butters Does anyone know what I can add to my body butters to remove the greasy feeling after application. Guest guest
You might want to do what I do. I tell my customers how to use my butters. I show them how it should be used and if they use too much it is greasy. I stess........A LITTLE GOES AND LONG WAY even if they are in a hurry. I have many cusomers whom love the butters and understand that they are an extreme moisturizer. No matter the season if used properly they will love the effects on the skin. And they do. You could always whip your butters to make them lighter but I don't know if it will make them absorb faster or less greasy? I have yet to try this method. It is time consuming and some people might not like to pay for air. --- mmrose00 <mmrose00@...> wrote: > Does anyone know what I can add to my body butters > to remove the greasy > feeling after application. > > I myself don't mind the greasy feeling as my skin > absorbs it, however > others don't really care for it.. Guest guest
You could try either modified cornstarch and/or modified tapioca starch at 1% of your formula. These help quite a bit. Also helps with the glide and afterfeel. They both come until all kinds of trade names (natrasorb, etc.) Donna S. > > Does anyone know what I can add to my body butters to remove the greasy > feeling after application. > > I myself don't mind the greasy feeling as my skin absorbs it, however > others don't really care for it.. Guest guest
I would use the Dry Flo AF, Skin Flo, arrowroot or even cornstarch before the Natrasorb Bath.. Natrasorb is kind of coarse textured and fluffy.. it is for absorbing fragrance oils and then getting them added to dry formulations. Natrasorb encapsulates the fragrance oil and lets it be mixed with dry ingredients like powders.. I don't think butters would be the best application for Natrasorb Bath. You can get the Dry Flo, Tapicoca Pure, and arrowroot at quite a few suppliers. Just use their store " search " box fields and it should take you to their items in their stores.
