PLWHAs,PLHAs,PWHAs,PLA's ????

Dear Colleagues,

Every single day new words are added in the dictionary, new words coined, new

acronyms created. I have noted that the acronym for 'People Living with

HIV/AIDS' as PLWHA's, PLHA's,PWHA's, PLA's and there may be some which I might

have missed. Do we use any of those ? Is there any officially accepted from

amongst those ? I have seen proposals that contain almost all the acronyms in

its narratives etc. of all of those listed above.

Should there be a standard, an universally accepted acronym ? or does it matter

at all ?
