Ceece, I also have a GE front-loader and LOVE it! my only complaint

is that washing bathroom floor mats is a ruddy pain -- they spin up

against the sides of the drum, effectively holding water IN (in a top-

load machine, bath mats still spin up against the sides of the drum,

but the water drains out the BOTTOM)... as for its performance w/

everyday laundry, I have 3 active kids ranging in age from 4 to 7, and

a DH who sometimes forgets how old he is <g>, so we get plenty of

stains; I've had all but the absolute most stubborn stains come out IF

they're pre-treated... fwiw, for detergent I use 2x Ultra Tide HE

(high efficiency) for front-loaders; I prefer the " FREE: contains no

dyes or perfumes, " so if you're trying to help your family go as

natural as possible, the " dye-free, perfume-free " detergents might be

something to consider, just make sure they specifically say " HE " on

the pkg if you're buying for use in a front-load machine... hth! :-)

kind rgds,

Ross
