Guest guest
Hi Terry I remeber a few postes using Vikane I whink it helped , I don't know for sure . Tri-jet Fogger with 1 cup borax & 1 cup epsom & 1 cup windex kills hem all , I did it every 3 days in each room for a month. I left when I fogged, I Used a lamp wall timer set on 30 mins. I also left when I used menthol crystals, then returend , held breath , ran in opened windows , ran out & waited 2 hrs to go back in .. I sit in my car , I used co2 gas in the car every 3 days too , it is bliss to have a safe area to sleep . God bless you , Bill ------------------------------ On Sun, Apr 8, 2012 8:11 PM EDT mitesbegone wrote: >Hi I have been reading posts on the site and am wondering if there is any recent info on the success of Vikane Gas, or the use of Cedarcide, or the use of Poultry Shield. > >The mites have proven to be incredibly relentless, as I am sure you all know. I have lost 25 pounds in the last 6 weeks and am exhausted. I am trying everything I can lay my hands on. But, now I am wondering if the nickle and dime approach that perhaps I need to cough up the money and do a tenting with Vikane, if that works...if that kills the mites and the eggs. I know this was discussed amongst this group in 2008, but not sure if I can find any earlier postings. > >Anyone out there with any information on this? Guest guest
Dear ,Sorry to say I never used it; I still have a brand new one and a bottle of Cedarcide in my garage. By the time I bought both we were mostly done with mites having just about eradicated everything by dumping almost all we owned and spraying unrelentingly with ammonia based products everywhere and using DE. I keep the fogger "just in case." From everything I've read over the years this is the most effective machine one can buy for mites because mist from it really lingers and penetrates surfaces and does so better than other sprayers. Cedarcide is expensive too and some believe that it only makes the mites hide deeper. I think Sandy that used to come to this site used it often. She had no improvement in her symptoms at all. Bill uses other things with the fogger that work for him. What I thought were bites in the end for me are very similar symptoms from Bartonella. If you still have biting sensations Bartonella can cause that too (identical in nature) and you may think that you still have mites, but may not. Treatment for Bart shows you that the symptoms start to subside and attraction to bugs goes away over time. I still say you have to focus on outside environment and what is going on internally.
