Guest guest
I LOVE emu oil! I use it in my lotions. You don't need to use a large percentage in your recipe. But subbing part of your oils with emu adds great benefits. I also put emu oil directly on cold sores. If I am lucky enough to catch them when they are just starting I can prevent them from blistering. If not I dab it on frequently. It reduces the redness. When blisters pop they tend to dry out, crack and bleed. Treating with emu oil has prevented that in my experience. The cold sore heals faster and doesn't look as awful while healing as with other treatments I have used. I carry a roll-on tube of emu oil with me. Guest guest
, I speak from personal experience when I say that emu oil is considered nothing shy of a miracle oil in my house. I have a 4 year old daughter who, when she was a little over a year old, was severely burned with boiling spaghetti sauce. The ER docs said she had 2nd and 3rd degree burns located under her eye, down over her cheek, and atop the eyelid. We were told by the plastic surgeon who's care she was under, that she would require multiple skin grafts in the coming months. I began treating her with emu oil and a little lavender EO the day after the accident, every hour for the first week or so, then several times a day for about 2 months. Within the first 4 days, yes, DAYS, there was more healing that had occured with only emu oil/lavender, than I could have even hoped for after grafting. She was seen by the plastic surgeon on that day (day 4) and he thought he had the wrong patient! She had one more follow-up appt with him a few weeks later and then he told me there was nothing he needed to do and cancelled plans for any operations. Four months afterwards, she only had a slight pink tone where the burn had been, within a couple of more months, you could only tell were the burn had been if she was crying hard and got red-faced. After a few more months there was NO evidence of any burn whatsoever. Zero, not even slight scarring or redness. I even forget which eye it was unless I really think about it, but you can't tell at all by looking at her. I have pictures to prove this, too. Emu oil goes in all my soaps and most of my other products as well. I understand it works very well on leg ulcers that diabetics get, acne, aging skin, and can even be taken internally. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. And, no, I don't sell the oil but I should! -------------- Original message -------------- From: " " <vk3kcg@...> The more I research Emu oil the more interesting it becomes. It seems to be a good oil to use in skin care products. Guest guest
Wow..it sounds great! Is there anyone you know who sells it? The Emu Oil I've seen has always been expensive. Do you think it would work well on ringworm, or scalp fungal issues? How long did you have to apply the emu oil before you saw results, and how much did you have to put in your product for it to be effective? I want to try and make something for my daughter's scalp, she went to the pool a couple of weeks ago and caught some sort of scalp condition. Thanks, Carol > > > > If anyone is using Emu Oil can you tell us what your thoughts are on it. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I use Emu Oil Cream because I have arthritis and very sore joints. Earlier this year I did something to my back and it hurt to stand, sit etc. My husband suggested I put Emu Oil on it and wow I was amazed. I work on the computer keyboard 8 hours a day and before I start work, I rub Emu Oil on my hands. I really is a miracle drug. Would love to know where I can purchase the oil itself and recipes for making creams and acne products for myself and granddaughter. Sally In a message dated 9/21/2008 3:40:21 P.M. Guest guest
Yes...Emu oil is not cheap; but you only need a little bit in your products to get the benefits that others have experienced. > > Wow..it sounds great! Guest guest
Since you ask, I sell emu oil, as reasonabley priced as possible, because I really believe in it. It healed a rash I fought for months...great for bruising and burns, all of that. I think it's mainly the omegas that give it the awesome healing power, like fish oil. I've never heard of anyone having an allergic reaction to it, but shea butter allergies are pretty common since it contains a form of latex, the emu oil penetrates the outer layers of skin so it could make something like that worse. Of course, like anything, somebody's going to be allergic to it, so I believe it, and if you want to make creams or anything with it, just be careful what you mix it with. Guest guest
Do you think Emu Oil would help with vasculitus? My son has it when he stands or sits in the same place for long periors of time. It hurts him a lot. He describes it as arthritus you can see. Anyway I was wondering if it might help him. Does it have a fragrance? in Michigan -- Re: Emu Oil Some interesting info I use Emu Oil Cream because I have arthritis and very sore joints.
