Help!! Web Sites - A little OT - XPost

Help!!!

My partner and I want to finally do a web site but after looking - we are so

overwhelmed we don't know where to start.  How do you know which company to

choose out of these hundreds of choices???  And the prices are all over the

place!!

So, I thought I would ask all of you guys !!! 

Who do you use to host your web site?  Can you set up your web pages easily? 

Remember I am computer illiterate (LOL!!).

Is it affordable??  Some web pages were extremely high for hosting and the

shopping carts were cheap to astronomical. We would need a shopping cart - that

looks like a nightmare all in itself. 

How did all of you decide who to go through?
