Dr. M, LLMD told me when muscles start to twitch, or eye, it is a symptom of low calcium, magnesium or potassium. In 2003, a case report of magnesium deficiency with Lyme disease was reported in the Magnesium Research journal. See here. The thing that is baffling was that when I first got sick with Bart I had tested at a reputable lab and my magnesium level was high. I had been eating raw almonds daily for a snack which are high in magnesium, but I also have Celiac disease so my absorption is not good. Try a supplement of magnesium and see if there is improvement perhaps.
