Guest guest
Terry From my experience and reading years of post, doctors and pest control may be of little help. This infestation infection is a pick up the ball and run kinda thing. LLMD would be your best choice for medical care if you can afford that. Reading your post and health issues is a carbon copy for me. Respiratory, bladder, skin tags, clearing of the throat. All Lyme and company symptoms. You need to treat yourself. Pick your course of action, be it unconventional, or conventional. Finances come into play, did for me anyway. This infection infestation brought me to my knees financially and physically. Get some mms, if not wanting to take internally, bathe and use spritzier spray, soak feet. Either order some antibiotic or herbs if not taking mms internally. I did both with mms before herbs and antibiotic. Read some of my post and links. I have finally beat the beast. Has been years of fighting reading and spending. Glad you found somewhere to vent and try and find healing. Try and use natural products on body and environment. The chemicals and pesticide will make your immune weaker. Get on some sulfur to, for sure yellow flower of sulfur. Read make a plan of action, be persistant, it can be beat. Decide your plan of action then perhaps we can be of more help. Antibiotic herbs mms ect. > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to start. But, here goes: have been fighting bird mites for over 2 months now. Like Sharon, bless her heart, biggest problem is their torment of my body (in my mouth, nose, eyes, etc.). Every time I would finally allow myself to go to sleep, from sheer exhaustion, I would wake up and have to run to the bathroom and spend lots of time trying to cough up stuff from my throat. Usually looked like little black dots mixed in with throat secretions. Sometimes it felt like I had a hair in my throat or just something that was grabbing and would not dislodge. I would have to brush my teeth and gargle and brush and floss, well you get the idea. I was also constantly having to clear my throat and spitting. This process has been exhausting when coupled with the constant cleaning cleaning cleaning. I have tried everything. Had Fumigators out 3 times!! Still I am harassed. And that whole thing about skin tags and warts, yep...ME TOO. I even have these round flat like warts on the underside of my arms. I have a severely compromised immune system, am permanently disabled and this infestation has about leveled me. I have been staying the past 3 days in a hotel room just because I can't go home right now. And even after I got here, it took me two days to finally clear them from my throat and body. I have ordered new products from Cedar Bug Free and was going to attempt to work on the house (sort of back and forth so I could have a place to sleep without being attacked). I have a hazmat suit to wear while I am treating. Have to scrub powder into my carpets, powder the mattresses and then encase them with my new and oh so expensive mattress encasements. But my landlord called out Terminix to get another opinion. He was tired of hearing about me complain, but he is also a really nice guy and wants to help. He is even helping me pay for my trips to the hotel. > > So, met with the Terminix guy today at noon. He seemed very knowledgeable about bird mites. Said he used to have chickens and his wife had birds so they have dealt with them before. He totally understood everything I was telling him. BUT...he could not find any evidence. Something was either dirt or something else. Something I took off my body after a shower turned out to be little tiny threads (could this be Morgellons?). He searched high and low. Of course as I had been gone, their food source had been gone so I told him I did not expect to see any of them walking around. Plus it was the middle of the day and I suspected they were hiding. I gave him a specimen I had taken off my body a few weeks back and he said that he could see that it was some kind of critter but could not tell what kind. (He carried one of these portable microscopes). He said he found what might have been a shell casing in the sofa but again, it did not show what it belonged to. The underside of my sofa cushions had been treated with Borax so might have dried some of them up. So, bottom line, until he could identify exactly what the pest was, he could not and would not treat. Having had three treatments already he said that he had to be very careful about what they could recommend so as not to cause some kind of toxic overload. Of course this was logical and even ethical, but I am still faced with the prospect of going back home and trying to get proof. I ordered some of the ant traps (mentioned in an earlier email) so will try and trap some of them, otherwise, I am going to just have to use my body as a trap, and boy do I hate that thought. > > I am so miserable about this, but I haven't quite given up. But now, after reading the posts about Bartonella (the warts and skin tags) and Lyme and Morgellon, well, I guess I am thinking I may very well have these issues. I have been suffering from infections (bladder) and respiratory, but my doctor does the whole " oh, we don't have problems with Lyme disease in Washington state, and there is nothing wrong with you " ...even though she can see all the bites and rashes on me....Makes me want to pull my hair out, which seems to be falling out in any case. And my daughter is getting married in two months and I was going to help her with her wedding and now I barely have the strength to pick up the phone and call her. > > Is there a test I should demand? Guest guest
Hi Terry, Sorry about your ordeal, did you ever try apple cider vinegar for your throat? Anyway, I caught a bird-mite with a method suggested in birdmites.org. Here's the URL for strategies: http://birdmites.org/strategies.html Here I'm pasting it for you, but there's more info in that URL I gave you: TIP: To capture mite samples from a heavily infested room: Place a pan of hot, steaming water in the middle of a darkened room at night. Place a single light over the pan, preferably a red IR lamp. Leave the room undisturbed for a couple of hours. You will need to use a strong magnifier to see them in the water. Place samples in a vial with alcohol to preserve. (Some are able to see the mites better using a black light in a darkened room.) Guest guest
Oil pulls helped my throat and respiratory. It sounds simple and strange but has helped myself and some others. Guest guest
Hello Healing Hope, Thanks for your advice. I am taking tons of supplements right now because of a rare disorder I have called Dercum's Disease. I have checked into MMS (miracle mineral supplement right?) and will order some. I am waiting to hear back from my research doctor (only doctor in US who knows about Dercums) to see if I can take it. I am going to also mention the possibility of Lyme disease, etc. I will definitely use it unless it is something I HAVE to stay away from. But I can't see that happening. There are several sites that sell it. Is there a site or sites where I should go to get a good source of mms? When I first saw mms, I thought it was supposed to be msm, and was spelled incorrectly. (I take lots of MSM). You are quite right about the expense. With only disability income, funds are pretty well diminished. I also saw there was a site for doxy to order online. Do you know if I can do this in the US? And yes, I am truly worried about fumigants, etc. No need to add to my woes by beating these critters and giving myself some other disease. The Cedar Bug Free is all organic which is why I want to use it. I ordered some colloidal silver..anyone know if that helps? I will look for the yellow flower of sulfur. You have all been a wealth of knowledge. I have read through many of the files, links and archives. I do not want to let this beat me. I do not give up, but sometimes when the forces mounted against you are overwhelming, retreat may be my only option. Being disabled, I am home 24x7, so without a break, I just feel trapped. I am trying very hard to plan my attack. But because there is no single working viable solution out there, I have been trying them all, one at a time. Could you tell me please, how long you had to endure them invading your mouth? That is the worst. Well, I am not fond of feeling them moving around on me, slowly crawling, but knowing when you fall asleep that you are helpless to them getting inside of you...well, that is horrible, as I know you know. Thanks for your advice and for helping, Best, Terry > > > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to start. Guest guest
Hi Jess, I was drinking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar three times a day. It seemed to help a little. I ordered some organic kind and will try that too. I probably did not stick with it as long as I should have. But will be more determined this time. Thank you so much for that, as well as for the strategy on trapping mites. I had heard of the hot water method but did not have a black light or IR light and could never see them. Perhaps I can find an inexpensive light somewhere and will give it another go. Thank you so much, Terry > > > > > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I > > should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to > > start. Guest guest
Mites begone There are sites below that may help you. Spray your face with mms, oil pull, gargle with mms. Wash hair body with liquid lye. My scalp and face was the hardest for me to eradicate. For face other than liquid lye lotion I used bag balm mixed with flower of sulfur. I am including a site of fellow sufferer for sulfur wafers and ointment. If you are truly destitute he may help with product. http://morgone.com/ http://keavyscorner.com/ http://www.pennherb.com/scan/co=yes/sf=category/se=Herbs/sf=description/se=Flowe\ rs%20of%20Sulphur > > > > > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to start. Guest guest
OMG Terry I looked up the symptoms of Dercums disease and they are almost identical to Bartonella when it presents with Lyme. AandrayaOn Apr 18, 2012, at 8:35 PM, mitesbegone <no_reply > wrote: Hello Healing Hope, Thanks for your advice. Guest guest
You're kidding me!!!! Is there somewhere I can find the symptoms you are talking about with Bartonella when it presents with Lyme? Or can I google it and find the info....This is weirdly exciting and scary at the same time.... Thank you for your quick work on this. Guest guest
Hey I am very willing to try anything at this point. I am not sure what kind of oil to use though and not sure I can do it for 20 minutes but I will try. Thanks for the suggestion. And my daughter is getting married in two months and I was going to help her with her wedding and now I barely have the strength to pick up the phone and call her. > > > > > > Is there a test I should demand? Guest guest
Have you seen my post for liquid lye lotion mitebegone? You can also add tea tree or peppermint to the lye lotion. Soak dry hair and let dry. Also cover body back included, I use a dish soap bottle. You can also blend in some flower of sulfur I use my blender, hint mix with a little olive oil then blend into soap. You can buy tea tree and peppermint, at wal mart. I would only use tea tree or peppermint until healed. I use plain lye soap and add tea tree, ect. http://debbieshandmadesoap.com/buy_soap_online.html LYE SOAP LOTION - HOW TO MAKE ITÂ Â ( same process to make shampoo, dish soap and plant spray as well ) To make a lotion out of the soap it is really very easy. In fact it is a good way to recycle those small pieces left over from the shower. To make the lotion just take several small pieces and mix them with water. We recommend you use either a spring water or a distilled water. Something that has the impurities removed. Especially if your using the lotion for a skin allergy or something of the like. They put so many things in city water any more you don't know what you may be mixing into your lotion thus maybe even irritating your condition further. Also you may need to add a little heat when trying to get the soap and water mix if the pieces are really hard. Not much heat just a bit. Anyway just mix in enough water and stir it until you get the consistency you want for your lotion or dish soap or shampoo, whatever it is your making the mix for. Now be sure to put your mix into something relatively air tight so it won't dry right back out. If you need to take it with you in your purse or something just get a small squeeze bottle or a zip lock bag that your sure won't leak. We have also been told if you thin down the solution enough you can use it as a plant spray to keep unwanted bugs away from your plants. > > > > > > > > > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to start. Guest guest
Oh no, not at all!!! I really appreciate that you thought of the financial burden this is on me (on all of us) and were there to offer a bit of hope and help in that arena. No way did you offend. I simply thought about it and figured that as bad as things were right now, I was still stumbling along...while others might be much worse off. My reply was probably too terse and gave you the wrong impression. I too often don't word things right either. Guest guest
You know Aandraya, When I lived in California, I thought I had been bit by a tick. But when I got to the doctor he said that since I did not have the " bulls-eye " I did not have Lyme disease and therefore, no test was run. After looking at the symptoms, I now believe I may have had Lyme disease for a very long time...and with the mite attack, perhaps now Bartonellas as well. You sound so convinced that I looked up Dr. Klinghardt and sent an email to his office asking for an appointment. His office is less than an hour away from where I live. This all seems kind of surreal. I mean, if it turns out that I have Lyme Disease, then the bird mite infestation might have been a good thing??? Is that weird thinking or what? Thanks for so much information on this. I will let you know how things progress. Guest guest
I think scalp and facial for many of us is demodex mites. This thing I had incurred many things, including positive Lyme test. Our weakened immunity leaves us susceptible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demodex_folliculorum > > > > > > > > > > > > Well, as my posts have not necessarily been making it through (I should have figured this problem out eons ago), I don't know where to start.
