Guest guest
I ordered the antibiotic from wolfcreekranch, but am wondering about taking it before I get tested. I think I read that you should not take an antibiotic before testing as you could then test negative for something that you actually have..... Just wondering, Terry > > > > Dear , > > I have been sick around 3 years and have been on antibiotics for 1 year. > > My test results are as followed: *Bartonella titer (positive); *Western > > Blot band 41 (positive); *Positive Blood Smear (Frylabs) > > " Hemobartonella Protozoan. Guest guest
Tough one to answer. The test being unreliable should not rule out Lyme. Lyme truly should be a clinical diagnosis. If you are seeing a LLMD they know this and will take all into consideration, including any ongoing treatment. Lyme is something sitting on the sidelines is asking for chronic illness. That being said this needs to be your judgement call. Remember if you decide to start any protocol and have Lyme you will become sicker while treating, this is known as a herxheimer reaction. Lyme and syphliss cause this because of the spiriochette die off. Links below for guidance. http://lymesentinel.blogspot.com/2009/03/false-negative-testing-results-lyme.htm\ l http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herxheimer_reaction > > > > > > Dear , > > > I have been sick around 3 years and have been on antibiotics for 1 year. > > > My test results are as followed: *Bartonella titer (positive); *Western > > > Blot band 41 (positive); *Positive Blood Smear (Frylabs) > > > " Hemobartonella Protozoan. Guest guest
Good information to know. You are right, it is a judgement call. If I can stay strong enough until I see the doctor then I will hold off on treatment. Thanks for the link too. > > > > > > > > Dear , > > > > I have been sick around 3 years and have been on antibiotics for 1 year. > > > > My test results are as followed: *Bartonella titer (positive); *Western > > > > Blot band 41 (positive); *Positive Blood Smear (Frylabs) > > > > " Hemobartonella Protozoan. Guest guest
It is amazing that this person on the blog had to get well in order to test positive for Lyme. Now isn't that an irony..
