Guest guest
Birdluver Glad you found the group, wishing you did not need to though. I am posting what has helped me. I had mites and springtails. Good luck, it can be beat! Persistence! I used no towels after shower, only hair dryer or towel. Soak brushes and combs, I use ammonia in air tight gallon jug. Treat drains also, I use mms in my drains, or vinegar. I also have poured liquid lye soap dozen drain and let sit over night, or fels naptha liquid. Sulfur helps make me less attractive to insects too, I have found treating yourself important, and natural as possible. For wash I use fels naptha it will kill fungus and mites. For body and hair I use liquid lye soap, when infested i would add flower of sulfur to liquid lye, especially for hair. Hint use small amount of olive oil to mix the flower of sulfur then add and blend to liquid lye. I have even left the liquid lye on my hair for bed. Soak dry hair with liquid lye and let sit. Its just soap it will not hurt you. Store bought soap will hurt you! I would use peppermint, tea tree, or plain until healed. If mixing flower of sulfur use plain. After good scrub with lye, and rinse. Soak in MMS bathes. I also take flower of sulfur internally and MSM, this is very different from MMS. Read and study, then go to war:) Also treat drains weekly with white distilled vinegar, or MMS solution. LYE SOAP LOTION - HOW TO MAKE IT ( same process to make shampoo, dish soap and plant spray as well ) To make a lotion out of the soap it is really very easy. In fact it is a good way to recycle those small pieces left over from the shower. To make the lotion just take several small pieces and mix them with water. We recommend you use either a spring water or a distilled water. Something that has the impurities removed. Especially if your using the lotion for a skin allergy or something of the like. They put so many things in city water any more you don't know what you may be mixing into your lotion thus maybe even irritating your condition further. Also you may need to add a little heat when trying to get the soap and water mix if the pieces are really hard. Not much heat just a bit. Anyway just mix in enough water and stir it until you get the consistency you want for your lotion or dish soap or shampoo, whatever it is your making the mix for. Now be sure to put your mix into something relatively air tight so it won't dry right back out. If you need to take it with you in your purse or something just get a small squeeze bottle or a zip lock bag that your sure won't leak. We have also been told if you thin down the solution enough you can use it as a plant spray to keep unwanted bugs away from your plants. To make laundry soap with fels naptha I use 1/3 cup shaved naptha boil with 6 cups water, add 6 cups cool water. Add borax. Stir for 24 hours can be used right away. Treat outside and anywhere not living attic basement ect with bifen, and granules on grass, video below how to treat springtails, also kills mites. Also bathing in MMS, and for me I take internally as well. Now just taking maintenance dose. Also orange guard worked well for me and is natural. This I used in my car alot, and around bed. http://orangeguard.com/ Also spray bedding with wintergreen alcohol and white vinegar before bed, and pillows. http://www.walmart.com/ip/-Brands-Wintergreen-70-Isopropyl-Alcohol-16-fl-oz\ \ /10423839 Lots of links and reading, good luck. I am cured. PS you may have lyme many who are attractive to this beast have lyme:( try and be tested, however the test are unreliable. Research the testing for lyme and you will see some labs are better than others. http://jimhumble.biz/ http://www.felsnaptha.com/store-locator http://www.felsnaptha.com/ http://www.soapsgonebuy.com/Fels_Naptha_Soap_p/d1001.htm http://debbieshandmadesoap.com/ http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3031802 http://www.bugspray.com/article/springtail.html http://www.pennherb.com/sulphur http://www.pennherb.com/search?mp=s & se=msm http://www.animedproducts.com/images/MSMPure2006.pdf http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW851/ItemDetail > > I've been living the horror of mites since the end of February. They help me sleep but when I fall into a deep sleep I wake up traumatized because of all the mite activity all over my body, especially my face. I keep a lint roller and pieces of wide packing tape on a nightstand by my bed so when they wake me up, I can remove the ones crawling on me, especially my face, neck & ears. I have been to Leaves & Roots and bought Tea Tree Oil Extract, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash, Eucalyptus Extract, Oregano Extract. All nice, but none work. My husband has bombed the house seven times - six bombs each times. He has sprayed with BIfen 1T and Zenprox, in and out and spread granules. I have bathed in bleach water, Lysol and Epsom Salts, used lice shampoo, sprayed myself with Lysol Spray, Windex and Listerine and on and on and on. I have purchased vacuum storage bags and after washing and/or drying on high heat I have encased all the bedding previously on my bed, etc in the bags with moth balls and sealed them shut with the vacuum - for the long term. No more bed pads, comfortors, pillows and shams. I bought a storage cabinet for the back porch to keep the vacuum cleaners in so they will be out of the house. > > I am going to seek the help of a local herbologist to see if there is something I can do to make myself unattractive to them. Guest guest
HI Birdluvr! Do you actually also see the mites and have been able to capture samples? That would be good, cause if you get them id:d you know what youre fightnig against. It seems like you have done a lot. But what I can read you haven´t tried Diatomescious Earth. We had quite good results by spreading that all along floor boards and at all cracks and crevices. Maby you can try. To spray an IGR (insect growth inhibitor) also helped us, but we ended up movning and brought nothing cause I was desperate finally. By then we got rid of the mites but lost our safe economy, cause we had to sell the house cheap and lost all our belongins. Try wash your laundry with borax and ammonia and steam iron after. Good luck!Cecilia From: birdluvr4evr <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Monday, April 16, 2012 9:09 AMSubject: Just found about this forum I've been living the horror of mites since the end of February. Guest guest
Very sorry to hear you are among us mite sufferers. Try sulfur products, I took pure sulfur capsules without any additives 4000 mg per day to make myself untasty for the mites. Sulfur soap, shampoo and bath also does help. My favourite product in the beginning of the infestation was a sulfur conditioner of the Afro Collection, called Sulfur8 medicinal conditioner. Covered my whole hair and body in this thick paste. It stinks, but the mites do not like you as much after application. Another helpful remedy is Lysol (Dettol in the UK) to clean and spray with. Mites do thrive on fungus, mold and bacteria and Lysol removes about 99% of the bacteria. These 2 things helped me the most, before I started the intake of an anti-fungal and antibiotics. The problem lays in your body. This is why your partner is not affected. My boyfriend was not affected either. This is the downfall that most people focus on the environment only. Did it myself, wasted 2 years of precious time before I realised that the problem lays deeper. Aandraya is the expert here who has given me the wake up call. I am 99% better nowadays after being straight to hell and back. Take care ! Guest guest
Thank you for the info Aggi. A local woman with whom I spoke told me her doctor gave her a z-pak. I wrote the info and went to my doc. Of course she was skeptical but my husband had gone with me for support so she had to " act " . She couldn't understand why the other woman's doc had given her an antibiotic and gave me something different. Your e-mail confirms the info from the other woman and that we have to take our healing into our own hands. I am now able to " trap " the critters on clear Scotch Package Tape so I think I'll take some " specimens " with me to the doc & hope she'll look at them under the microscope. I just ordered 2 quarts of Shaklee Basic G and 4 sprayers. Day after tomorrow I will begin an attack on my house. I am an accountant and tax season oficially ends tomorrow. This year I have to file more extensions than ever before because of this nightmae. It's a good thing I have my own business or I would surely have lost my job. > > Very sorry to hear you are among us mite sufferers. I was exhaused and fell asleep quickly and slept soundly. At 6 AM I woke up totally covered, worse than ever. They were swarming as never before. I can't > even describe the feeling I had in my body. I could feel " spriong " " sproing " " sproing " ! I laid there thinking " My God! They are coming out of my body " !!It was horrible. That day I told my husband I was going to jump off the Sun Bank Building and he sprung into action. It's very hard for him to see me suffering like this and not know how to fix it. > > I have tried many of the solutions I have seen on the internet, most are a waste of time. Waking up with mites all over my face, in my nose, mouth and ears totally freaks me out. My doctor had never heard of such a thing and didn't believe me. Knowing that would probably be the case, my husband accompanied me to see her. She gave me METHYLPREDNISOLONE & HYDROXYZINE. He has sprayed with BIfen 1T and Zenprox, in and > out and spread granules. Guest guest
Birdluvr4evr-You story is all too familiar. You have internal infections going on which makes bugs attracted to you. Also, some of the crawling sensations are neurological resulting from Lyme/bartonella combination, fungal/mold, etc. I thought I had no Lyme symptoms for 8 months and the issues got progressively worse. This just started for you, get treated now and your recovery will be a lot easier. You need an Igenix test- Lyme western blot- order the Igenix test kit for free and find a doctor to sign off on it, then request a copy of the test so you can see which bands showed up. Regular doctors do not know how to interpret these tests. What state do you live in? We can help direct you to a Lyme literate practitioner-LLMD. No one in my living environment was affected but me, I wasted a lot of time focusing on the external environment and my skin before finally getting on the road to recovery. I recommend you avoid that.Aandraya On Apr 16, 2012, at 2:09 AM, birdluvr4evr <no_reply > wrote: I've been living the horror of mites since the end of February. Exterminators said it was either from rats (no signs of such) or birds (there was a bird nest on a column by my front door). They do not bother him or he does not feel them. I have sent samples off to the Entomology Dept at U of Florida and am anxiously awaiting results. I'm wondering how long it might take. There are some possibilities of mites from other sources. Two days before they woke me in the morning, swarmng all over me, my granddaughter had been here with her two babies. She laid in my bed and nursed them as she has always done. However, what is different now is that she and her fiance had recently moved from an apartment to a house, a very old house, and they have a pig in a pen in the back yard. And, he hunts racoons, kills them and puts them in a bag in the freezer until he accumulates a few to send to a buyer who pays him per. My granddaughter could have carried mites from either of those sources to my house. However, I don't think the hundreds/millions that were swarming all over me could have increased so in just 2 days. Could that be possible? Another possibility is: Possums have been tearing up my yard so I set traps and leave them in the traps until they die then my husband puts the trap and all in his van to dispose of the dead animal. It is highly likely that mites from the possums got all over his van and him and he carried them into the house where they adopted me. Another possibility is these could be mites from our yard. We have removed all grass and covered the ground with mulch. When the leaves fall off the trees we just leave them there. I was reading on the internet that there are mites that thrive in decaying matter. Here in Central Florida we did not have the usual winter freezes so it is an ideal setup for such mites. The original attack was in my bed. After a few nights I moved to the sofabed. The first night was great but the second night they found me. I went outside and slept in my van. It was uncomfortable but mite-free. After a few nights I decided to make it more comfortable and brought out bedding. Bingo! I must have carried them with me! I bought an air mattress and set it up in my dining room. The first night was great! The second night they found me. Guest guest
Birdluvr-My first LLMD was in Florida- Dr. Schaller. Can you post here or send me your email and I'll send you more information. There are only a couple LLMDs in Fl. that I'm aware of but I'm going to get a contact for you of someone down there that would know more. Most in Fl travel out of state for treatment. You are at the early stage to get this resolved now.Aandraya@...
