Guest guest
My doctor prescribed some more Permethrin. Sunday night at about 8:30 Pm I applied it generously from my scalp to the soles of my feet, under nails, between toes & fingers, in ears and very close to my eyes (against directions). During the night I felt activity all over me as if the creatures came out of my skin, looked around and dropped dead or went back inside. There was no crawling. I got a pretty good night's sleep Sunday night. I left it on until 2PM Monday, a total of 17-1/2 hours. Monday was good and that evening I went to a client's to work for 4 hours. I was concerned about leaving hitchhikers behind but I felt clean and should have been, right? Still bathing in Epsom Salts which has been removing them successfully, most of the time,I guess. Monday night they returned with a vengance. I had a rough night with little sleep and arose early to bathe in Epsom Salts. After the bath I still felt activity. I had to be at a client's at 10AM but there was still a lot of activity so at 9:30 I was back in the tub again. I washed and dryed the same clothing I had worn the night before. At 10 I called and told client I would be a little late. When I arrived I could feel activity on my scalp going down my neck. I took a piece of packing tape, that I carry with me now, and pressed it against my neck. There were 6 white dots on it. I thought I would go off the deep end!! While I worked I could feel them all over me. I am terrified, really, really terrified that I left some behind. Last night, Tuesday I used Lice Shampoo. I put it all around my hairline first then massaged it into my hair all the way to my scalp. OMG!! It felt as if there were hundreds of them going beserk on my scalp. I applied more lice shampoo and let it sit for about an hour, prescribed time is 10 minutes. I hope my hair doesn't fall out. Last night I was in bed for about 5 minutes before they attacked me. I got up took another Epsom Salts bath and moved to the sofabed. Haven't been there for a couple of months. I got about 3 hours sleep. So tired! At 6 I got up, took another Epsom Salts bath and went out to sleep in my van but I still felt crawling on me so I came inside and did a little research. I ground cloves and took them. Made a drink of Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses & warm water. Had a smoothie of Almond Milk, Spinach, Protein Powder, Blueberries and a few other things. I feel like I have more than one kind of mite attacking me. Something external and something that comes out of my skin. I guess the answer is to do everything I can to get my immune system healed. Guest guest
I am so very sorry to hear about the horror you are experiencing. I totally understand. I have shooed everyone away from my house and when I go out I am very uncomfortable. I feel like some sort of pariah. I try to keep my twitching down and really can't wait to get back home so I can dive under a shower. I hate the crawling in my hair. That is horrible. I don't know if you have demodex mites or what. I was reading that alcohol will kill them and so will tea tree oil. But I don't know if you have to keep applying that constantly. I found this antiseptic which had tea tree oil in it. It seemed to be effective in treating some of my sores and keeping mites off of me. I made several different types of oils using Avon skin so soft bath oil and then adding tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus...whatever I had at the time and just kept my face and hair oiled. I looked like I hadn't bathed in days, but it helped the itching in my hair. If you pulled some of the white things off of you, you might want to take those and get them looked at so you know what you are dealing with. I wish I could help more. But you are in my prayers. I know that sometimes it seems like it will never end and that you are constantly having to ramp yourself up to face each minute of every day. I couldn't stand it myself so bailed out and went to a hotel. Finally got some rest that way. Hang in there. Terry > > My doctor prescribed some more Permethrin. Guest guest
Hi birdluvr4evrThis is a typical scenario. We did the permethrin too on many occasions because that is what was given to us by the MD who works for our insurance. They also gave us a few rounds of Ivermectin with my begging for it. My husband and I after noting that these things worked for one night decided to try Pet meds since our insurance would no longer give a script for Ivermectin or permethrin and I can't say it helped. Didn't seem to. We did the hotel thing too... doing all that permethrin at a hotel instead of at home, went there to get sleep and rest. Things did seem better at the hotel, but we coujldn't afford to keep going to hotels. for some reason the crawling was worst at night and biting went on and on. We had to go back to our house. My husband's rear end and back looked like he had hundreds of bites. I had many bites on chest mainly, but got bites regularly on legs and feet, hands, head, face. Husband never got too much on face, but they went for his ears. I did use the Vicks on face which helped and silicon ear plugs--he didn't use ear plugs. I noticed many of the black specks all over the house, on toilet seats, any place where there was white, like lampshades and toilet paper. Perhaps over time our adrenals start to get burned out with lack of good quality sleep and stress. Maybe taking an adrenal supplement might help besides Vit B complex and a good multi. They do go internal so we have to start doing something for the internals like Doxy and an antifungal as well. From: "birdluvr4evr" <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2012 6:55:39 AMSubject: Update on 4/25My doctor prescribed some more Permethrin. Guest guest
Agree with you!!! I have some kind of permethin spray for clothing which I am going to start using when I have to go home. I am trying to stay in the hotel until I can see an LLMD. This is expensive, but I felt I might as well use my savings for that rainy day, cause from where I am sitting, it is pouring. I know I can't stay here forever. I am hoping that the cedar treatment will work somewhat on whatever I have in my house and then I can go home. I feel like such a homeless person. Even though I have a room, I just wander around outside without a purpose...or sit inside and pay bills which I am so far behind on, or handle my email... This is a huge financial drain on me. I will soon be tapped out. Terry > > > Hi birdluvr4evr > > > This is a typical scenario. Guest guest
If you are dealing with bird mites, Permethrin is only working temporarily. Many others here have reported the very same, including me ! Guest guest
I used concentrated white vinegar diluted in water at a 40 : 60 ratio twice a day for 7 days. This way I got rid of all crawling and biting on my scalp. It felt like heaven ! :-) Von: mitesbegone <no_reply >An: bird mites Gesendet: 16:18 Mittwoch, 25.April 2012Betreff: Re: Update on 4/25 I am so very sorry to hear about the horror you are experiencing.
