Hi Sharon,

I remember I was able to get some sleep if I took Xanax or Ativan. I

suspected that the medication affected the mites/fungus in some way

because I felt no activity when I took it, it was as if they had

gone to sleep or something. Have you tried taking any benzo?

I went to the ER too once, I was the laughing stock of the

personnel. Awful experience.

because the ones on my scalp go totally beserk during the

10 min it takes them to die. I leave it on much longer

than the prescribed 10 min, until I'm sure they have truly

died. Who wants to deal with a hoard of stunned mites? I

was in a hurry the 1st time I used the lice shampoo and it

was a waste of time. Less time is only like a vitamin for

them. Then I put my pillows in the dryer on high for 40

minutes and went over & over the sofa with lint

rollers and, sprayed with Bedbug + spray, left it to dry

and then took a shower. I scrubbed and scrubbed and

scrubbed. Loofah, Body scrub, Sulpher 10% soap. Even

though I knew they should be gone my body was traumatized

and it feelt like they were still on me. After it all I

poured a container of 1/2 Cider Vinegar and 1/2 warm water

on me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. It

burned like crazy because my skin is so damaged from all

the different mixes and slutions I have been using. Dryed

my hair, put on fresh, clean jammies & socks.

Remade the sofa up with fresh, clean sheets & pillow

cases. No sooner had I laid down when they were all over

me again. They have to be coming out of my body. There's

no way they could get all over me that fast.

I got up and went through the whole routine again but this

time I woke my husband up and told him we were going to

the hospital. I carried along my red folder with all the

information I have so far.

In the ER nobody had ever heard of what I told them was

wrong with me. I referred all my attendees to my red

folder. The main guy thought it was pretty humorous and

had a hard time holding back his laughter. They did the

usual blood & urine tests. I asked that the blood test

be expanded to include looking for parasites and was

informed that test is only done through poop. Smart crowd,

there! Diagnosis "can't sleep due to itching". They gave

me an iv that put me right to sleep for 3-1/2 hours then

released me with a prescription "Loratadine 10mg 1x" My

husband took it to get filled and came back with an over

the counter bottle of Kirkland brand from Costco. Well! I

already have the same thing in my cabinet and it does

nothing for this issue. So tomorrow it goes right back.

One thing that may work out good is that since I changed

my primary care dr and can't get in to see my new dr yet,

I am considered between plans and without coverage so I

can go to PCAN clinic - Primary Care Access Network, so

they say. I've never heard of it before but will try it.

OH! The little smarty pants who took my blood & gave

me the IV said she'd like to take a look at my folder.

When I told her about the exterminators and how I found

Birdmites.org and thus found this forum she commented "I

know, I've seen those shows on tv". HUH!! I was on my way

out/under from the iv so wasn't able to discuss it

further. Later today I remembered and I'll just bet she

thinks I've seen shows on tv and am imagining this

nightmare. I have never seen any show on tv about this

stuff so I think as soon as I can get that journal done

I'll write to the head of the ER, the hospital and the big

cheese over all that chain of hospitals. They need to be

informed. I will resist including a few mites so they can

know firsthand it is no figment of anyone's imagination.

Hi Birdluver

Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent 2-3 tbl in 32 oz of water on the head

in the shower for 5 ins then rinse clears the head of bugs . Then dip head &

body in full bath tub w/ 2 tbl coconut oil it coats the skin & helps stop

crawling till the morning when you shmpoo & it all comes out clean & hair is

like new from the oil ..Plus I soaks in to the skin & makes a shield .. if it is

coonut & water , straight coconut oil dosent works as well I found

An air matress placed on a hard floor with 2tbls coconut oil & 48 oz of

water sprayed on the floor & then the air matress, stops nite attacks , don't

forget to spray the cieling .

1 cup borax & 1/8 cup of dawn dish sooap int the tub & soak for 30 mins draws

them out of the skin & heals cuts

1 cup Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent in the tub & soak for 30 mins

once per week ends their existence when doing all the others steps daily . It

take a little time. It is also the best detergentfor the clothes .

All these mixes are painless & heal the skin a are not iratating in the least

God bless you Birdlover,

Bill

Jess:

Ativan was what they gave me in the iv this morning. I don't take meds of any

kind. I don't get flu shots, etc, etc. I'm not totally organic but working on

it. But I'll tell you something! When this hit I ran begging for something,

anything! What is benzo?

Researching for an answer I came across this. Collembola doesn't seem to be what

I've got but this is still some interesting information:

The fact the CedarCide had created their product for the military for mites that

even straight malathion would not kill added to my suspicion that this had been

created by the military to use in the middle east that came back with the

solders and spread. I also thought that maybe genetically modified plants have

also affected this bug since I read that Collembola are the first to break down

a human corpse. Why they would be so out of whack in the natural order and

attack a living person was baffling.

It also was starting to be obvious that people with clean internal systems were

more attractive to this than those who lived on meat and junk food. This is

really strange since usually in nature the diseases are attracted to prune out

the weakest of the species. Maybe parasites are different than bugs in that way?

Also based on the surveys I have collected females and older men are more prone

to this. Out of hundreds of cases no young men to date have contacted me with

it. I believe this means that Collembola is attracted to certain hormones and

high testosterone may be a repellent. This needs more research.

You can read the whole article at this link

Bill:

I bought the Arm & Hammer powder the other day & I have the Coconut Oil. I use

that daily - on my toast, in my oatmeal, etc, etc but in my bath? Sounds great.

The only Borax I can find is 20 Mule Team Borax and Boraxo which has something

in it to repel roaches. Where can I find plain Borax? I bought the Dawn but

couldn't remember what I was supposed to do with it besides doing dishes.

Thank you for your kindness and helpfulness.

Thank you . I am so grateful I found you all. I was about ready to end it

all there for a while. People not beleiving me and no help anywhere.

My oldest daughter is devastated over what I'm going through and told me she is

coming over Wednesday to sleep on my sofa bed. She wants to attract the bugs to

her to get them off me. I'm sobbing as I share this. It's surely nothing any of

us would wish on anybody and I certinly won't let her do that.

Oh, breaks my heart Sharon. No, she loves her mama, but you can't let her do that. I think it is advisable to see a LLMD as soon as humanly possible and start on meds. I so totally understand Sharon. If I thought going to the ER would do me some

good I would do it. But I suspect like you, I would have an IV shoved into me

and a round of " wide eyed " looks that would get me no where. But I admire your

spunk and hope you get 'em. I don't know what to tell you, but for any of you

who ever watched " The Body Snatchers " ..I can now totally relate to running

around trying to tell me what is happening and have everyone look at me as

though I am crazy.

I guess we just have to steel ourselves to the inadequacies of the human mind

who refuses to believe. Although, I must admit, when this first happened, I

read some of the postings and I was hard put to believe it all. Although, I did

at least keep my mind open to the possibilities, as horrifying as they were.

left it to dry and then took a shower. I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed.

Loofah, Body scrub, Sulpher 10% soap. Even though I knew they should be gone my

body was traumatized and it feelt like they were still on me. After it all I

poured a container of 1/2 Cider Vinegar and 1/2 warm water on me from the top of

my head to the soles of my feet. It burned like crazy because my skin is so

damaged from all the different mixes and slutions I have been using. Dryed my

hair, put on fresh, clean jammies & socks.

there! Diagnosis " can't sleep due to itching " . They gave me an iv that put me

right to sleep for 3-1/2 hours then released me with a prescription " Loratadine

10mg 1x " My husband took it to get filled and came back with an over the counter

bottle of Kirkland brand from Costco. Well! I already have the same thing in my

cabinet and it does nothing for this issue. So tomorrow it goes right back. One

thing that may work out good is that since I changed my primary care dr and

can't get in to see my new dr yet, I am considered between plans and without

coverage so I can go to PCAN clinic - Primary Care Access Network, so they say.

I've never heard of it before but will try it.

Hi Sharon,

Benzos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benzodiazepine

You can get them from a psychiatrist, they're prescribed for

anxiety. Though I would not tell a psychiatrist that I have

Morgellons or anything like that because they will think you need

anti-psychotics.

I'm curious whether other people with Morgellons have felt some

relief with benzos? I remember taking them and suddenly not feeling

the organisms and being able to go to sleep.

tell you something! When this hit I ran begging for

something, anything! What is benzo?

Researching for an answer I came across this. Collembola

doesn't seem to be what I've got but this is still some

interesting information:

The fact the CedarCide had created their product for the

military for mites that even straight malathion would not

kill added to my suspicion that this had been created by

the military to use in the middle east that came back with

the solders and spread. I also thought that maybe

genetically modified plants have also affected this bug

since I read that Collembola are the first to break down a

human corpse. Why they would be so out of whack in the

natural order and attack a living person was baffling.

It also was starting to be obvious that people with clean

internal systems were more attractive to this than those

who lived on meat and junk food. This is really strange

since usually in nature the diseases are attracted to

prune out the weakest of the species. Maybe parasites are

different than bugs in that way? Also based on the surveys

I have collected females and older men are more prone to

this. Out of hundreds of cases no young men to date have

contacted me with it. I believe this means that Collembola

is attracted to certain hormones and high testosterone may

be a repellent. This needs more research.

You can read the whole article at this link http://www.stopskinmites.com/symptom/megans-nightmare

Yep, that is the worst of it, when they swarm your face. I used to pile on so

much Vicks that I could barely breathe. Problem was, it would wipe off over

night. But it helped me fall asleep. Right now I can sleep in this hotel room,

but now I am beginning to see black specks here as well and when I wake up my

throat is clogged again. And the itchy feeling is coming back. I guess staying

here is being to lose its charm. I am so scared to go home though. I can

barely stand it there I get attacked so much and the dogs get covered. I am

about to just move.

Oh Sharon, I feel your pain. I know what you mean. There are one of two things

that might happen, either she would attract them to her and then become part of

this hell, or would not attract them at all and become very confused as to what

you are going through. No win scenario. I have never wanted anyone to come

over. I never want anyone to go through this nightmare. My son started out

there so there was not much I could do about that. And he is not affected.

Which should mean, therefore, that whatever is attacking us, is drawn to us for

some reason. Short of going back in a time machine where I was young and

healthy, I don't know how to figure out where to start in figuring that out. I

just hope that the cycle of these mites starts to lessen. I don't know how long

you have been suffering through this, but there are people here who went for

years without help. I have only been suffering through this for a short time,

although I truly believe it has been longer than that. I used to wonder

constantly at the tiny red dots on my stomach, but it did not seem to bother me

that much. This is when I still had my canaries. I truly think I had mites for

over a year, but they fed on the birds and just incidentally through me,

probably when I was cleaning the cages. But as soon as I got rid of the

birds...BAM!!! Major infestation. I believe though, with the speed with which

these things attack, that they are not mites (not 100%) and there is something

else attacking me. I never see movement on this black dots, yet, they bite and

they itch. So, I do believe the mites quickly give way to a fungus. And this

fungus is awful. And that is what I think I am fighting now.

It is helpful if you can try and put your finger on what and how this started.

At least it is for me.

Hang in there. I know the terror you are feeling. I don't know when it will

get better for you or me. But I do know that with the continued spraying and

cleaning and the internal meds, like anti-biotics and such, we can beat this.

Have you thought of seeing an LLMD in your area? That might be a start.

So, it is like Valium. I have never taken a sleep med before. I guess I was

Hi Terry,

That was just my personal experience. I don't know if they felt the

effects but they just went quiet, no movement, and that surprised

me. I honestly felt they had been drugged too, though I cannot make

that claim because I don't know if that's what happened.

I'd like to hear if other people have tried benzos during an

infestation and whether they've felt the same way.

As for getting your throat clogged up... wow, does it get that bad?

I don't think benzos are like general anesthetic where you basically

are unconscious. I think you would wake up if you were choking.

Yeah, it has actually awakened me in the middle of sleep. I have to run to the

bathroom sink and it usually takes me about an hour before it is unclogged.

That is the worst thing for me...

Hi Birdluver

Borax is 20 mule team borax it is very effective against bugs , mold & fungi

, it leaves a prolonged residue that keeps killing . Arm & Hammer Powdered

Laundry Detergent als has a simalar substance like borax. .Both destroy this

bug & germs very well .100 % coverage is most inportant.

So 1 cup borax & 1/8 cup of dawn dish sooap in the tub & soak for 30 mins

draws them out of the skin & heals cuts. I place a COTTON rag on my face w/1

tbls borax & 1 gal of water & it soaks them out for good , it takes 2-6 weeks if

the are in deep . There are eggs so persitence is mandatory . I dial down the

concentration of borax every week & change to epsom saltt nstead of borax every

3 day to give my skin a break & change up the weapon on the bug , It is best to

keep treating the skin with baths for 6 weeks afer all symptoms go away to make

sure it stays gone I never braethe any of the poisons or I get sick of them & I

then can't use them to eradicate the bug & its germs & bacteria it brings .

Dry baking soda deters bugs well

Tall boots & 2 tbls borax & 4 cups " f water are great to step into afera bath &

walk around in for 30 mins , then rinse feet & boots & put on leather boots to

stop foot bite forever .

. baking soda in boots & clapped together to spread the baking soda , then

shake out mke the boots bug proof.

1 cup dry Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent in each boot for 1-8 hrs

kills all bugs in the boot . But Breathing Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry

Detergent cause terrible lung damage . I never breathe even a flake of it . It

is horid when breathed

othe wise it is a miracle . I used it in my front yard dry 2 years ago & have no

bugs in my front yard since. I spilled 4 cups of Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry

Detergent on theground 20 ft from my house & used an electric leave blower made

by weedeater from walmart $26.00, & held my breath & blew the pile towards the

house & back up fast up wind & waited 2 mins & the was the end of the bu out

side for 2 years now. I ued to get bit onthe face the moment I pulled up to my

house & rolled down the window even in the winter. If you berath the dust of Arm

& Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent it will destroy the lungs

If you don't breath it will destroy the bug.

God bless you Birdluver .

Bill

ps oonce you get them off you the don't find you as easily , alkalinty deters

them very well , baking soda , Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent both are

very alkaline give huge relief used with water .

1 teasp per cup of water for Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent on the skin

& 1 teasp baking soda per cup o water on the skin make the bugs stop itching

if t fails I use

http://www.earthclinic.com/Pets/dog_mange_cure.html

The mix:

2 tblspns borax (20 mule team Borax laundry booster

16 oz peroxide (3%)

32 oz water.

mix it , and the borax nuetralizes the peroxide, it is painless & there is no

fizz or burning from this mix & it is cheap

All this is painless , & effective over time

Every one here at the forum has gotten cured , I have watched at least 50

posters come , learn , treat & leave & all are fine still . Many many used

borax & Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent & other things too

Please let me know what works & any tips you learn . ..please ! ..ok ? There

mus be a bait that can be used to poison them like 1 teasp honey & 1/8 teasp

borak mixed up & fed to ants wipes them out in days every time .. So what does

the bug eat ...? Blood ? So what about a warm bloody piece of chicken soaked

in borax placed on a plate warmer with a mini electric co2 manufactuer to draw

them, then it set inside a cage so no pets can get it ? That might work ..

.... I will try it now .

Also I am the bait , that's why each am when I wake I spray the perimeter of m

y bed with 2 tbls coconut oil 1/2 cup borax & 48 oz of water to gat all the

attackers that come in the nite ...

The only Borax I can find is 20 Mule Team Borax and Boraxo which has something

in it to repel roaches. Where can I find plain Borax? I bought the Dawn but

couldn't remember what I was supposed to do with it besides doing dishes.

I think we might be dealing with different bugs here. I don't believe mine are

bird mites. They don't bite me, just crawl on me. They seem to be coming from my

skin but don't leave any marks to indicate that. They are not in any clothing in

my drawers or my closet. When I am clean & put on clean clothing I am not

bothered. I cannot wear something for any length of time & use it a 2nd time

though. I have a couple of hooks in my closet that I hang such clothes on and

once I found that anything prreviously worn had bugs I quit trying to be

economical and put everything in the wash.

Last night I used the 3 tb Arm & Hammer/1qt water mix on my hair & all over my

body and stood in the shower for 5 min. I have to say it stung me quite a bit. I

Rinsed off then took a 1/2 hr bath in 2 tb Extra Virgin Coconut oil. Totally

submerged myself several times & I kept my hair in the swirling water most of

the time. I went to sleep at about 2AM praying this would work. I woke up

several times with things crawling on me but it wasn't torturous as usual. Maybe

the coconut oil on my skin helped soften me enough to withstand it. Or maybe I

had reached a point of exhaustion. I fully woke up at 9:45 AM and was pretty

covered with the bugs so I immediately took some clear packing tape to trap some

more to send of to entomology. I did the bathing routine again except after the

ARM & Hammer mix in the shower I shampooed & Conditioned my hair. In the coconut

oil bath I didn't submerge my hair. Let's see how a few days of this will work.

Thanks,

Sharon

Just as previous posters have mentioned, seeing a lyme literare MD is the best option in my opinion.

I really did not have much success with my environment until I was diagnosed with lyme (Igenex Western Blot).

Once I started abx, I rarely get crawlies anymore.   Maybe once every few weeks for a few minutes.  Crawlies are definitely different than bites...they are usually a sensation related to the lyme complex.

Don't waste too much money and time on environmental stuff.  See a knowledgeable dr.   The ER & most dr. 's that are not LLMD's will just act as if you're crazy.  Which we are not!!!

For me, laundry after 1 wear, baking soda on the floor where the bed frame touches & exfoliating with epsoms in the shower worked for me.  As well as lye soap.  It is different for everyone but usually simple is best.

others might never get the crawlies in your family as my husband did not since he doesn't have the lyme infection.

Good luck!!!

I am always reading posts but don't always have the energy to reply...pregnancy, a 1 year old, & lyme...triple whammy!

I am so grateful to ALL the posters on here.  I am now getting healthier and will be there for my kids :)

I agree with the Lyme. One must do the abx, but there is a mechanical way to help move things along. I have found that the rubbery worms I remove seem to fit the sporochette profile. That is what creates the biofilm. Remove them, and the biofilm stops. Also, now reaching the bottom of biofilm after over 3 months of rubbing off via olive leaf. (I have freckles on my arms again!) I always find a fuzz covering at base (black! ....Think black specks) . Could it be the basement membrane of the skin? Maybe, but if so, a fungus/slime mold has partnered with it. Sporochette will be hiding beneath it often more than not. Remove them and the area is finally clear. Skin becomes taunt and beautiful again. (BTW, never had pain

nor blood doing this) At first, a larger manifestation just felt like round worms sticking out of my skin. (Can only feel if area is damp and you are feeling it with olive leaf on your fingers). Feel a sting on your skin, wet the area and touch with olive leaf on your skin, and you will find what seems to be a large worm that just exited your skin. These even mush up and release oil like worms. The bath stinks like dead worms. But tiny sporochette like things empty into tub. But then, as I have progressed over the months, these same manifestations are now appearing connected in rows like sausage links. The bubbles they form I think are nurseries for the sporochettes or maybe the slime mold. They remove easy enough. Skin looks healthy, is no longer white or swollen, and stops itching immediately once removed. Jell like bubbles dump into the bath

water and do not disolve. They break up and then group together again. Yeast form of the fungus/mold involved ???? Entire infection moves south like tree sap. I feel the feet and ankles will be the last battle. Those rubbery worms will move south and grow long. They form into long hard strips, like you peeled a carrot strip and stuck it in the skin so it sticks up like a razor. It rubs up and out with the olive leaf by following the grain. These strips help to hold the biofilm in place and provide corridors for the rubbery worms to move through. Always know where an active sporochette chain is by the white that appears around it. It will be right in the middle of the white puddle. You can feel its movement. It removes easily. If I find an itchy lump, (many on the bottom of the feet), I rub in a circular motion with the

olive leaf on my index finger gently. It opens up and the sporochette and grains come out. Repeated rubbing will empty it. I do think this is Lyme coupled with some kind of mold or fungus. The bugs and mites did appear in the air pockets of the biofilm during the early removal of the biofilm layers but not since. It loves to manifest along any bone ridge. Real bad are the shoulders, collar bone, elbows, jaw, eye sockets, around ears and skull base, nose, cheek bone, knees, ankels, calf ridge, hand and foot bones, and the edges of the feet. They do clear over time with repeated attacks. From what I can tell, group masses of these things are below. Only a part of it emerges above the surface for reproduction. Remove it, and another takes its place within a minute. Continue, for weeks if need be, until nothing more comes

up.I am convinced that they are set in my scalp again. I know they will continue to go south and reinfect my face, etc. until I get them. Sad fact of life. Anyway, the later helps remove biofilm and skin manifestations to bring peace. I've logged untold hours in the bath and about 30 pounds of olive leaf. The olive leaf at Starwest Botanicals is good, but I found one that works just as well for half the price at Rose Herb Mountain. Aggi, you just may need to shave your head to get that off. Buy a partial wig and wear a hat. It does not take long for the hair to return.Love and light,s

Sharon, We all concluded earlier that any bug is game depending on the intensity of of your infection and whether it is the season for that bug or not. I was bothered by mites, feather winged beetles, collembola, nats, and little spiders but never at the same time. The arm and hammer laundry wash attacks the fungus/mold involved. The Arm and Hammer Super Soda Wash is 99.98% baking soda and much stronger. It pulls infection out and kills fungus and mold. Beware. Use is sparingly in the beginning, for it is powerful. Too much and your skin will rip open and dump infection. I used that method and was in pain for two weeks while doing it every night. After that, no more pain and infection continued to leave in a kinder format.

Seems starting slowly and gently may take more time but would also keep life pleasant as who wants to be in pain and still be attacked by bugs. The coconut oil did not work with me as the fungus/mold seems to be in the basement membrane of the skin. That is the part that holds the dermas to the epidermus. Andraya mentioned Leviqan, and I think it may be the answer to that. The coconut oil will get whats on the surface of the skin and biofilm, but not what's in the biofilm or at the basement membrane. Those areas will continue to multiply. Read my earlier post on olive leaf to reach it. Taking flower of sulfer seems definitly in order. I do beleive we are dealing with a hybred type of Lyme that utilizes a fungus/mold. I think killing it internally with abx is great, but if there is some still protected on the skin surface, then reinfection will

obviously occur. I believe one must attack from inside and out. Tenatious!!Love and light,s From: birdluvr4evr <no_reply > bird mites Sent: Sunday, April 29, 2012 11:43 AM Subject: Re: Went to the ER this morning

just wanted to respond to the question regarding experience with benzos - I

agree with Jess - when I used to take Xanax or Valium no crawling or minimal

crawling - it was crazy. Usually the action would stop within like 20 mns. I

was so desperate for sleep and relief. I am not sure I would have made it

without meds!

It is certainly possible. After all, there are many types of mites out there.

When I first had bird mites though they did not bite me, but they did crawl on

me and that I totally hated. It was unbearable to feel them. I never did see

them though. But I never got the sensation that they were in my skin. I always

felt them outside my skin. But definitely, all of my clothing was infested.

If you can capture them and have them examined, then perhaps you will be able to

solve that mystery. I think it helps tremendously to know what it is you are

dealing with.

Best of luck hun...I am sure hoping you can get some sleep. You are in my

prayers.

Hi Elissa, I am sure glad you are being treated. With all that you have going

on, I can't imagine having to deal with all that plus not knowing what was

happening to you physically.

I am hoping to find out what is happening with my own health this week when I

see my doctor.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I think there are things happening in the

environment that is making us sick. And a healthy immune system should

counteract that. But, I am still wanting to know what caused the infection in

the first place.

I am glad you are checking in. From my point of view, having people chime in

who have dealt with this really helps with the anxiety of not knowing. Thanks

so much, Terry
