Guest guest
Sharon, I don't know if this is possible, but you really might want to consider leaving for a while. I thought about all the money I was spending staying in my home and fighting this and exhausting myself, physically and financially. So I just moved up the road to the cheapest, safest motel I could find that would allow my dogs. My son stayed behind, by choice, as he was unaffected. Although I am not sure about that...but that is another post. Even a few days of just " normal " helped me tremendously. You just have to make sure that you are totally " scrubbed " before doing it. No sense in bringing the problem along with you. It also helped me to better define whether the problem was in me, or only in me while at home. After two weeks in a motel, I can sleep better, but I still have black specks and still have episodes of itching. But I continue to shower and scrub myself down with lye soap and my clothing gets a spell of being frozen, before and after wearing. Nothing like frozen sneakers to make you want to jump around!!! LOL...but if you can, do it. Terry > >> > > > >> > > >Last night > >> > > >> > > > > >
Guest guest
Terry: My husband - who is not affected, other than seeing me suffer and feeling helpless - has considered going to a hotel for a few days. I have a business and work out of my home so it just doesn't seem possible to me. Guest guest
I'm not sure what you're saying here, Aandraya... Are you referring to people with delusional parasitosis? The crawling sensations caused by an overactive nervous system are called formication and that's what Morgellons patients are mostly accused of, of being delusional. I had a real infestation and these medications helped me, so it's hard to find an explanation for why they helped. I don't have delusional parasitosis because I was able to provide samples of the critters that attacked me. Guest guest
I have worked out of my home before, but mostly computer/wi-fi access was all I needed. Sounds like you have more need to be there though for your business. Perhaps you could consider day trips to your home then. Back and forth from the hotel, like you were going into work. Then perhaps showering and heading back to the hotel for a good night sleep??? Just thinking out loud for you....Terry > > > >> > > > > > >> > > >Last night > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Jess, I am sure you had critters...no doubt. Did you have them ID'd by chance? I sure would like to know what is out there that is driving everyone up the wall. It is possible that you have hypersensitivity, this one of the symptoms I have read about. Perhaps the meds dull the hypersensitivity so you don't feel them as much. I don't know. But it is an awful feeling...those crawling sensations. You just grit your teeth and hang on. Guest guest
When I went to ER they put me in the psych ward. In just a few minutes they were crawling all over me. Weary, beaten down and sobbing I got up, removed the sheets and put Lice Shampoo on my hair. I hate it!!! because the ones on my scalp go totally beserk during the 10 min it takes them to die. I leave it on much longer than the prescribed 10 min, until I'm sure they have truly died. Who wants to deal with a hoard of stunned mites? I was in a hurry the 1st time I used the lice shampoo and it was a waste of time. Less time is only like a vitamin for them. Then I put my pillows in the dryer on high for 40 minutes and went over & over the sofa with lint rollers and, sprayed with Bedbug + spray, left it to dry and then took a shower. I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed. Loofah, Body scrub, Sulpher 10% soap. Even though I knew they should be gone my body was traumatized and it feelt like they were still on me. After it all I poured a container of 1/2 Cider Vinegar and 1/2 warm water on me from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. It burned like crazy because my skin is so damaged from all the different mixes and slutions I have been using. Dryed my hair, put on fresh, clean jammies & socks. Remade the sofa up with fresh, clean sheets & pillow cases. No sooner had I laid down when they were all over me again. They have to be coming out of my body. There's no way they could get all over me that fast. I got up and went through the whole routine again but this time I woke my husband up and told him we were going to the hospital. I carried along my red folder with all the information I have so far. In the ER nobody had ever heard of what I told them was wrong with me. I referred all my attendees to my red folder. The main guy thought it was pretty humorous and had a hard time holding back his laughter. They did the usual blood & urine tests. I asked that the blood test be expanded to include looking for parasites and was informed that test is only done through poop. Smart crowd, there! Diagnosis "can't sleep due to itching". They gave me an iv that put me right to sleep for 3-1/2 hours then released me with a prescription "Loratadine 10mg 1x" My husband took it to get filled and came back with an over the counter bottle of Kirkland brand from Costco. Well! I already have the same thing in my cabinet and it does nothing for this issue. So tomorrow it goes right back. One thing that may work out good is that since I changed my primary care dr and can't get in to see my new dr yet, I am considered between plans and without coverage so I can go to PCAN clinic - Primary Care Access Network, so they say. I've never heard of it before but will try it. OH! The little smarty pants who took my blood & gave me the IV said she'd like to take a look at my folder. When I told her about the exterminators and how I found Birdmites.org and thus found this forum she commented "I know, I've seen those shows on tv". HUH!! I was on my way out/under from the iv so wasn't able to discuss it further. Later today I remembered and I'll just bet she thinks I've seen shows on tv and am imagining this nightmare. I have never seen any show on tv about this stuff so I think as soon as I can get that journal done I'll write to the head of the ER, the hospital and the big cheese over all that chain of hospitals. They need to be informed. I will resist including a few mites so they can know firsthand it is no figment of anyone's imagination. Sharon I think I need to journal this experience and try to pull together
Guest guest
Hi Terry,I tried having them ID'd, but I'm pretty sure the entomologist was wrong. He claimed it was a baby-spider. But all of them were about the same size, they were very small, so it was not a baby. And I doubt it was a spider either, they lived in groups of many many, they didn't have webs, and they burrowed in the wood. I suspect it was a birdmite because where I found them there were feathers. They ran very fast and jumped and burrowed. As for the rest of the stuff, I'm sure they were not just sensations. At some point I remember my psychiatrist didn't believe me, so I brought him a magnifying glass and I let him look at my arms. There were tiny holes where I had felt the pricks. He said " yes, I see the holes, yes I see the critters... " and believed it for a few days, then again thought it was mental and started asking me where I got those critters from. Oh well. Guest guest
It is so very very frustrating. There are many different types of mites and many of them can affect humans, especially those that are susceptible to them. Your psychiatrist is the one who needs to check himself. I mean really, he sees them and then tries to pretend he didn't...what's up with that? It certainly could have been a bird mite. You can only see them when they have fed otherwise they are pretty clear. The entomologist may not have realized that a mite is a spider (type). So, not a baby spider but a mite. Guy did not know his job I suspect. I have uncovered so many people who are incompetent and look no further than their own noses. Very frustrating to try and deal with them and convince them. I have all but given up that route. Hope you are feeling well these days though...Terry > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Last night I tried to sleep on the sofa again because I had > > > > > > about 4+ > > > > > > > > > > pretty good hours of sleep there the night before. Guest guest
No, Lyme/Bart causes the nervous system to misfire, so a lot of the biting sensations are neurological. Many of the skin marks that appear are caused from bartonella, they look like bites. Many with Lyme get them.AandrayaOn Apr 30, 2012, at 9:07 PM, NY <helpnynow@...> wrote: I'm not sure what you're saying here, Aandraya... Guest guest
So sorry to hear about your experience at the ER. I think most of us has gotten treated like dirt and with the psychich diagnozis in stead of getting real help. Unfortunately I think no dr:s are going to help and in that case vets are more knowledgeable and kind. Hope you feel better soon. KRCecilia From: birdluvr4evr <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Sunday, April 29, 2012 1:47 AMSubject: Went to the ER this morning Last night I tried to sleep on the sofa again because I had about 4+ pretty good hours of sleep there the night before. I will resist including a few mites so they can know firsthand it is no figment of anyone's imagination.Sharon I think I need to journal this experience and try to pull together
Guest guest
Jess - I also have found xanax to b the only relief i get. If it were not for xanax - i would have been arrested because this is truly terrorizing and its still getting worse - 8+ months of suffering and losing my mind. take a xanax and i am ok in like 20 mins. atavan did not help - but valum did slow it down to a tolerable level. I was taking like 4-6 xanax a day but i am learning to b ok with some of the symptoms and now take like 1 every 3 days or so. well its been up to like 2 a day for the last 3 or 4 days. I do not find the time to read on here as much as i should - i really need some help. I have to go to jail and do not want to until i get relief from this because the jail will b unbearable w/o the xanax or oils or any access to relief - even if just disposible gloves so i can touch my head and keep them off my face! I have cut all my hair off and i have a moving bald spot that appears and disappears, i have hair that grows long and goes short, my hair also changes from red, to black, to silver at times, to brown, and back to red. they squeak, crawl, slither, and drop. they are in my clothes and i feel a warm mass at times - that just finds a spot on my body & sits there. the hair moves on its own & something bites(but leaves no mark). my scalp feels squeshy sometimes and i can actually feel a worm like thing that i can catch between my fingers but never can get a photo or capture anything. I sound crazy and i know that i am not. there has to b help out there. - on top of this, i have no where to stay and donnt know what im going to do. my friends house is now infected and he wants me gone. this is such a terrible situation. I dont know what to do next - i need help to get thru this! I am in san francisco bay area, california if anyone can help or has suggestions thanks - sarah > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Last night I tried to sleep on the sofa again because I had > > > about 4+ > > > > > > > pretty good hours of sleep there the night before. Guest guest
sarah - thanks for this posting - i am experiencing these rubbery worms, the tubes full of something that releases if broken, not sure if i have identified biofilm, but do notice a black area under where i feel movement. I can feel the rubbery wormlike thing or other worm like thing take different shapes get smaller/bigger by seperating and rejoining - being why it feels so big, is so small, and doesnt comb out well at all. i will order the leaf & try it. thank you sarah > >> >> > >> >> >Last night > >> > > > > >
Guest guest
- My once a year shrink from Kaiser gave me a prescription back in 2010 for hydroxyzine. Here is a description of it. To me it was a god-send because it helped me stop itching and I could sleep at night. Also reduced worry and anxiety. My doctors would not give me Valium or Xanax, although I have used both before. Is there a half way house you can go to? My prayer is with you.http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-7681-Hydroxyzine+HCl+Oral.aspx?drugid=7681 & drugname=Hydroxyzine+HCl+OralFrom: " Mayers" <sarahmaria72@...>bird mites Sent: Wednesday, May 2, 2012 6:16:25 AMSubject: Re: Went to the ER this morningJess - I also have found xanax to b the only relief i get. If it were not for xanax - i would have been arrested because this is truly terrorizing and its still getting worse - 8+ months of suffering and losing my mind. take a xanax and i am ok in like 20 mins. atavan did not help - but valum did slow it down to a tolerable level.
