Sharon, are you the one in NYC? I got my critters from a piece of

furniture that had been refurbished, this was NYC. I didn't know it

was refurbished until I realized it was infested. I didn't have any

idea of the degree of the infestation. Took out the drawers, tried

to clean it, then I noticed it was refurbished and there were

feathers inside. When I realized how infested it was, I got rid of

it right away, but it was too late, the mites were all over me and

all over my place. So yes, I'm sure you can get them from bringing

something home.

You should probably try to give this lady some support, since she

can't connect with anyone online. Maybe talk to her over the phone

just to see how she's doing.

Best,

Jess

I have not changed my computer systems at all. It is possible though that her

computer is infested...perhaps the keyboard is infested. Mites are drawn to

heat and some computers put out a lot of heat, so perhaps they are drawn to it

and therefore to her. I can't even begin to imagine how horrible it must be to

have had cancer surgery on top of this. The thought is too much too bare.

Perhaps she can get a simple mini laptop, something that puts out less heat. I

do not know what else could draw them. I sure hope you are able to reach her.

If it weren't for the all of you...I would be totally lost. Terry

she might have caught this mites from the hospital. they can last a few days

and up to weeks without a host. The only way to catch from a computer is if

someone who is infested has used the computer recently. or if you purchase a

used computer. or if you use a computer where others are using it. the mites

are not " made " from a computer. you infest the computer and then they need a

host to survive and crawl right back on your hands to feed and breed. and they

will attack with a vengence if they are " starving " for a host to feed off of.

let's say you use your computer one day and then go two days without using it.

the 3 rd day you go to use your computer, these things are STARVING and will hit

you with a vengence.

if the lady has cancer, she immunity is shot, and the mites will thrive on her

and her environment.

Right. I agree. I was sharing what she believes and is firm in that belief. I

suggested she come on here but she won't go near her computer now.

By the way, I have a laptop and a PC (stand alone)in my bedroom. I too had to

give up using that PC. Everytime I sat down at it I would be swarmed. My

laptop, perhaps because I move it around a lot works much better for me. I

totally understand her fear. Cancer and treatment is intense. She does not

need mites feeding on her as well. It is interesting, however, that they leave

her alone elsewhere? I know mites aren't speedy creatures, but I would think

they would get to her eventually. Perhaps she is dealing with some kind of dust

mite and spraying her computer down would be a good thing. I would just use the

compressed air cans and see if she could blow them out of the keyboard. I would

also make sure she sprays down her chair that she might sit in. I think they

infested my desk chair.

Yes, you could tell your friend about the plastic wrap around the keyboard. I don't know if you could put plastic wrap around a tower. I'm pretty sure the mites can survive a long time w/o a host.  I stayed at my in-laws after our initial infestation.

They don't bother any of them.  I moved out and didn't go back for 6 months.  They were there and bit me at night.  Wasn't as extreme, but I still felt them.

Heard they can last 10 months to a year w/o an acceptable host.  They don't bother people w/o internal infections it seems.

Our stuff will be in storage for about 2 years...hope they die by then.

Still get occasional bites even on abx but 90% improved :)  mostly after sweeping/mopping the floor.  They are still in the cracks...but mostly don't come out since I have baking soda sprinkled where the mattress frame touches the floor.

Very likely the woman got them from her computer!!

If your hands are highly infested, the mites will DROP down into the keyboard

and will reinfest you the next time you use the computer. The mites are coming

from YOU. When you go to use the computer, YOUR BODY, produces heat ahd

movement and carbon dioxide and the mites pick up on this and go for you. Next

time you go to use your computer, wash your hands really well, so you don't

infest, and wipe the keyboard down lightly and keep at it, so you don't infest

it. Some of us are dealing with deifferent mites, but they are all parasites

and it's you they want. I don't think the mites are attracted to the computer

because of the heat so much. I believe a person who is highly infested will

infested their computer. Someone who is not so infested and keeps their hands

free of mites will not hae as many problems with their computer. I learned the

hard way, the long road to realization of this and doing what works.

I still think they are pulled to it because of the heat they put out, but

perhaps it has something to do with charged particle emission...just a thought.

There have been studies where D. Gallinae (red bird mite/poultry mite) have

lived for up to 9 months without an avian host. But I have also heard that

mites may have made a jump to being able to live off of humans, but that is

unproven. So, I think a year should do it, but then out of paranoia, probably

tack on another year.

This is why I am heading home on Saturday (unless my doctor advises against it)

to tackle their eradication from my home. I will be armed with Lysol, Cedar

products and maybe some of the enzyme products Aandraya has recommended. I am

going to try and collect samples for future study and then I am going to try and

get rid of everything, be it a mite a fungi or a mold. I am hoping I will have

already started on some abx by then (both me and my little dog).

But if I don't eradicate them from my home, I greatly fear I will never trust

any piece of furniture, clothing or book ever again. It would probably take me

at least two years before I could begin to do that.

I think you are probably correct. I would also add to make sure and keep your

desk and desk chair treated. I had a friend who constantly got attacked while

at his computer. He moved his computer off the desk but still got attacked. He

had to carefully treat his desk with oils and spray down his chair before it was

safe. This then would support the idea that it is the person not the object that

the mites are going for. They may fall onto the desk, the chair or the

computer...but they started with the person.

This eradication can be a real adrenal burn out, so try to pace yourself. The thing is to reduce numbers and using as many tools as you can will do the job. People with a lot of energy seem to do best, but for me it was so exhausting... I'm still exhausted from it. Maybe something for the adrenal glands too? I don't know. I sprayed my chair constantly with Windex and that helped, along with the desk. I had to replace the computer and keyboard a few times, but I don't have anything crawling on computer, keyboard or chair. But it has been a few years since I had active whatever it is. Printer was changed... floors are a vinyl material, no longer have carpets, everytghing could be sprayed if I had to again. I do have curtains up, and those could be dry cleaned. This is in me I believe, not coming from the environment any longer. I still have the floating things, but I seldom get a bite, especially while on abx. I still see fibers though. From: "mitesbegone" <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Tuesday, May 1, 2012 8:59:55 PMSubject: Re: Got a call today from another one like usI think you are probably correct. It is possible that IF you already have chronic Lyme before heading into this,

the attack on your immune system activates the Lyme disease. Then you are

battling multiple fronts of war, internally and externally. Fatigue weighs in

heavily if you already have Lyme or a compromised immune system, or quite

probably, both. I too was exhausted. I was so very tired and sleep deprived

that sometimes I just walked in circles mumbling to myself. I could not get

anything done. I could not think of what I had to do, and even if I did, I was

always too tired to do it.

I have been in a hotel for 2 and 1/2 weeks. I go home at the 3 week mark. The

first week here in the hotel was spent getting caught up on my bills and filing

my taxes. The second week...I slept. Only now do I finally have enough energy

to think about this problem. So, I plan on having a written strategy plan

before I leave the hotel and then I will execute upon it. I keep reminding

myself that I used to manage multiple million dollar projects simultaneously and

never missed a deadline. I CAN DO THIS!!!

I pray that when I am in my home again, facing off against this enemy that I

will outlast them. That I won't do what I had done before...Stand in the middle

of the room trying to remember what I was supposed to do...Before all my

thoughts floated away, like feathers on the wind. I have to not get to that

state of mind where I can't remember anything, can't do anything.

I hope to go back home armed to the teeth!!

Four days and counting down....Terry

Strange, I have never had problems with my laptop. I used to spray Windex on the keyboard a lot

but not much though and it did not harm it at all.

If your hands are highly infested, the mites will DROP down into the keyboard and will reinfest you the next time you use the computer. The mites are coming from YOU. When you go to use the computer, YOUR BODY, produces heat ahd movement and carbon dioxide and the mites pick up on this and go for you. Next time you go to use your computer, wash your hands really well, so you don't infest, and wipe the keyboard down lightly and keep at it, so you don't infest it. Some of us are dealing with deifferent mites, but they are all parasites and it's you they want. I don't think the mites are attracted to the computer because of the heat so much. I believe a person who is highly infested will infested their computer. Someone who is not so infested and keeps their hands free of mites will not hae as many problems with their computer. I learned the hard way, the long road to realization of this and doing what works.> > >> > > One of the nutritionists with whom I spoke a couple of weeks ago > > "referred" a woman to me. I still think they are pulled to it because of the heat they put out, but perhaps it has something to do with charged particle emission...just a thought.Terry > > > > One of the nutritionists with whom I spoke a couple of weeks ago "referred" a woman to me. Anyone ever hear of that? I tried to get her to come on here but she doesn't want anything to do with her computer. > > > > I went back over all my purchases for a period of time before my first incident at the end of February to see, if by any chance I had brought these into my home on something I'd bought. Hii

Computers draw them , I keep mine in co2 like a pepsi .. Stays fresh, takes 2

months to de-infest because the egges hatch co2 donset kill eggs it seems.

I use the laptop the bug hatches hatch , I put in Hefty 2.5 gal ziplock , fiill

bag very slow w/ hose slipped in the zipper closed on the hose , inflate with

the bag in a 5 gallon bucket , shut off co2 , pull hose , zip bag , place lid on

bucket, Leave for 8hrs the bucket makes a double barrier bieg the co2 leak into

the bucket & make it a shield against intruders I . Use laptop for 5 hrs , re

gas daily .... for 60 days , I use a fan in the window exhausting to mahe sure

I don't breathe the concentrrated carbon dioxide gas it will cause brain damage

& kidney damage. if inhaled , I hold my breath while filling the ziplock like a

helium ballon I use a .rented tank 20lb tank, form any welding supply for $5.00

, filled for $12.68 , I get 400 fills from 1 tank, clears electronics & phones

I also use dry baking soda for phones daily when I walk in at nite & empty my

pockets in to in a zip lock w/ baking soda & shake & let sit for 2-8 hrs , thei

keep

items clear & clean in the stage I am at . Before then I soaked them in 1 cup

Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent & 1 gal of water , except the phone of

cours thet I powder w/ baking soda .

Here is a great link explaining co2 ( carbon dioxide)

http://wasg.iinet.net.au/Co2paper.html

excerpt from link : .....

.....

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the body's regulator of the breathing function. It is

normally present in the air at a concentration of 0.03% by volume. Any increase

above this level will cause accelerated breathing and heart rate. A

concentration of 10% can cause respiratory paralysis and death within a few

minutes. In industry the maximum safe working level recommended for an 8 hour

working day is 0.5% .

Caves often contain elevated levels of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), consequently cavers

may be putting themselves at risk without really knowing the full potential

danger.

ps I never breathe even a wiff , it is deadly like a bug bomb , but no smell or

odor . Seem eggs hatch later so I powder them w/ baking soda, baby bugs croak in

the dry dehydrating dust ... Yea !

God bless you ,

Bill

God He is a man of war .. You are His Sons. He has given us dominion over all

creatures..

Power to tread on serpents & scorpions & all over all the power of the enemy ,

neverless rejoice not in this that the spirits are subject unto you but rather

rejoice that your names are written in the Lambs book of Life

have had cancer surgery on top of this. The thought is too much too bare.

Perhaps she can get a simple mini laptop, something that puts out less heat. I

do not know what else could draw them. I sure hope you are able to reach her. If

it weren't for the all of you...I would be totally lost. Terry

The good day :

II Chronicles 5:17

13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers [were] as one, to make

one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up

[their] voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and

praised the LORD, [saying],For [he is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever:

that [then] the house was filled with a cloud, [even] the house of the LORD; 14

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the

glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
