Hi Elssa how are you

good I pray. I read a posetr ued mothballs insealed bags to clar his laptop ,

did you ever try that? I need to decontaminate boxes or tools . I too thaouht

the bed was a very important part of me getinng better

The bed is everythng , I used the casements but they ripped cause they were

cheap , matrees got soaked , mold grew & I spawned a new bug , that one was

relentless & felt like a dollar bill being dragged across my ankle. Nothing

killed it , not alcohol ,sulfur straight , baby oil , dawn dish soap, betadine ,

nothing except soaking my feet & hands & 'other' area in borax water 1/2 cup

per 3 gallons of water , 2 times per day for 60 days , changing up my

'medicine' every 3 days to epsom. . It killed it dead for 6 months till I put

on an old pair of shoes ...yikes ! I had to do it all over again .

I then threw out the shoes & the bed , best day ever. Clean air matress

freshly delfated ,folded ,soaked in 1/2- 1 cup Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry

Detergent in a 5 gallon bucket for 1-8 hrs ,rinsed ,drip dryed, re-inflated with

a hair dryer on cool shot in 90 seconds , placed on a hard floor freshly mopped

with 2tbls coconut oil & 48 oz of warm water . Then mist the aiir matress with

the same cococnut oil mix & wala , not a bite all nite long ...Heaven... I

would of thought the bug could crawl up the air matress becaoue it was so low

to the floor , but no, they cant navigate the oil I guess , I add 1/2 cup borax

somtimes to the coconut oil mix of water to assure a full 12 hrs of

buglessness. If I add some epsom too I get 1.5 days before the monsters come up

out of the cracks. Or in the windows . or where ever I drag them home from

,docks ,parks , old trucks etc . ..

God bless you Elissa,

Bill

See how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in

harmony!

I spent $150 on encasements for my mattress, box spring & 6 pillows. They did

not stop anything. Well, maybe they did, who knows? But the mites got on me so,

if the encasements worked, they likely moved up from the floor to the bed. I'll

never know.

Hi, Terry, When I moved here, I got an apartment where 5 bird's nests were in the outtake vent of my dryer. I did not know. All I knew was I kept getting lint on my dry clothing and it took longer and long for them to dry. The lint got worst and worst. Just before I broke out in lesions, the maintenance man found and cleaned the bird's nests out. Too late for me though. That apartment had black specks everywhere. I moved out into a new apartment. Haven't had the black specks since, but brought my infection. Think I got rid of something while on the MSS as I had the chills, night sweats, weight loss, and low fever for 1st 6 months. The red and blue fibers left, too. From what I read, getting Lyme at 6 means

I probably didn't get co-infections then as they weren't as common back then. I feel the co-infections joined me as a result of the nests in dryer. More to tell you all, but will do in a few weeks when school is over and I can see if I truly am heading in the right direction or not. Another experiment:)Love and light,s From: mitesbegone <no_reply > bird mites Sent: Monday, May 7, 2012 6:53 PM Subject: Re: Please, keep me in your prayers.

Dearest , I completely understand. Sounds like you have been fighting this battle for a couple of years now...which would be more than enough from even the strongest person. I have only been fighting this for a few months and I am ready to throw in the towel. I hope you have family in Tennessee who can be a good support to you. Have you tried moving from your place in Georgia to another home in Georgia? I do apologize for not knowing and/or recalling your circumstances. Did you encounter the mite pest in your current home and you have been fighting there ever since?

My heart and prayers go with you...Tery

The encasements I used were vinyl tear easily. I just threw out old mattress

wrapped new one in 4 mil plastic in driveway before I brought in house.I felt

like I was getting bit through the vinyl ones. I still get bit in bed but I know

they aren't in mattress so it's more of peace of mind

Oh Sharon I am sorry. I think the encasements work somewhat as they will keep

anything that has burrowed into the bed from coming up and bothering you.

Course that does not prevent them from attacking you from all the other

sides..but it is a multi-front war.

Perhaps they will help more in the future when things are better controlled.

It sounds like it has been such a nightmare for you. I so totally understand.

It is horrible when you think you have outdistanced your enemy only to have

brought it with you. Well, at least you knew what it was finally and now

hopefully, you know the disease you are battling. But I truly believe that with

good antibiotic treatment and close monitoring, we can all beat this thing.

Which means you too!! I know you can.

That is very good to know. I am going to put on the encasements I bought, but

am struggling with how I can protect them from getting torn by my dog's nails.

They aren't sharp like a cats are, but still, I would really hate for that to

happen. I guess I will just have to be sure and keep the bed covered with a

sheet or a blanket to protect it. Her claws won't go through that.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that my bed will be safe...for some reason, when

our entire homes are infested and we don't feel safe anywhere...if at least the

bed is okay, it makes everything else just a bit more tolerable.

Doing well, THANKS BILL!

my mattress encasements never ripped...bought the $30 ones from target.

Sprayed them down every night including walls & ceiling around bed.

KEY FOR US:  we put baking soda on floor wherever bedframe touched (wall or floor).  They died in Baking soda before they could climb up.  Spray walls & ceilings too...that way they can't drop down on you.  Go right to bed from shower wearing clean rubber flip flops & don't get out of bed at night.

Hey Terry,

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In my current living situation, I am again re-accumulating stuff. Carlin

is sitting on a cloud watching us with all our stuff, laughing his posterior

off.
