Guest guest
G'day all, I am new to this forum. By way of introduction greg is my name. I am a Rescue Paramedic in Australia and perform the " down the wire " function (land and sea) in a Bell 412 helicopter. We also have several fixed wing aircraft and do domestic and international retrievals. Whilst at the base we also operate a rapid response sedan for the local comunity. I have a Grad Dip in " Intensive Care Paramedic Practice " . Love the job (if you can call it that), but am looking to expand my skill set. My partner and I recently returned from a surfing trip to Western Australia (WA). Whilst in WA I spoke to some folks about mine and oil rig work. It sounded interesting. Hence I have joined this forum. I am keen to do periods of relieving work (say a month at a time) and at this stage am perpared to work anytime and anywhere. I am keen to hear stories from fellow medics about the issues of a remote medic, the conditions, environment, opportunites etc. To begin this process I have placed my CV with several companies and agencies.
