Check carranzas clinical periodontology page 766,(10th edition )

Regarding instrument grasp for easier scaling - modified pen grasp or standard pen grasp.

All instruments in dentistry are same length so it can't be tht option

And breadth means the distance from one side of something to the other (width, broad, depth, length) so we cant have that option either .

In most period books there is huge discussion on the grasp for scales, curetts..

So its defnt grip also known as grasp!
