Hi, Strains of Aa subgingival Flora,become resistant to tetracycline and therefore comb. Therapy of amoxycillin 250mg TDS n 400mg metronida. TDS for 7 days is now prefered. Ref: maste dentis. hello its combination therapy of amoxicillin 250mg TDS and metronidazole 400mg TDS for 7 days is now preferred.Because strains of Aa are resistant to tetracycline .regards huma

Hello,

in the pink book 5th edition p202, said for LAP; Tetracycline 250mg qds for

2-3weeks. But recently suggested combination therapy of amoxicillin 250mg TDS

and metronidazole 200mg qds for 2 weeks.

I think u can choose one of them..
