Guest guest
Hi, Elective RCT can be done for asethetic reasons, as a part of bridge design etc... For example if a grossly rotated anterior tooth is to be treated without orthodontics (assuming there is enough space of course), then an RCT will have to be done on the tooth before it can be crowned to change its shape. Or a supra erupted tooth interfering with bridge design on the opposing arch. Orthograde RCT is the conventional RCT that we talk of every day. Its called 'orthograde' as opposed to 'Retrograde RCt' which means 'from the back' or the root end. Ortho means straight or from the crown end. Hope this helps, Regards, Smriti > > > Dear friends, > > Can any1 tell Wht is elective RCT and orthograde RCT? > > Thank u > > Best regards > Safa >
