Guest guest Posted January 17, 2012 Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 the cause of missing upper central incisors can be MISSING : congenitally missing (usually accompanied by othe missing teeth in mouth), avulsed, extractedPRESENT BUT UNERUPTED : ectopic position of tooth germ,dilaceration due to trauma, scar tissue,supernumerary teeth, crowding,pathology eg cyst, odontogenic tumor etc. But the most common cause is SUPERNUMERARY TOOTH with an incidence of 1-3% in premaxilla as mentioned by LYUDMYLA. regardsjasmine.
