In tencate it is given that,in oral mucosa,scar tissue formed is usually remodeled so that most surgery within the mouth can be undertaken without fear of producing disabling scar tissue.Repair in early fetal life is scarless,the fibroblasts in oral mucosa closely resemble fetal fibroblasts.
