the calculation is done in this way : daily mouth wash contain neutral sodium fluoride which is in 4.5% so for 0.5% (it will be like 4.5 /1000 x 0.05 = 0.000225) - 225ppm on the other hand if you want to know the ppm for 20% mouthwashthen you will do ( 0.4/1000 x 0.20) = 900ppm From: Kanika Kohli <kanika_sahil@...> " " < > Sent: Sunday, 5 February 2012, 21:58 Subject: regarding flourides

hi kanika, 0.05{NaF} mouthwash contains 0.O23 percent F.=0.23 mg=230 ppm

Hey,

Sorry it was typing error for mouth washes it should always be 4.5%,

As its neutral sodium Flouride.

You should be able to calculate the ppm for toothpaste , tablets and fluoride water ...
