Guest guest
Hi, i think in these situations we should refer to the gdc guidlines on manikin where they state it is 6-20 degrees From: "dr_ashish_pandit@..." <dr_ashish_pandit@...> < > Sent: Wednesday, February 29, 2012 6:02 AM Subject: Re: Ideal taper Also in pink book, ideal taper given is 5 degree,,,this adds to the confusion !!!!Sent on my BlackBerry® from VodafoneFrom: dr_ashish_pandit@... Guest guest
If you think about it practically, a 14 degree angle is quite reduced, especially if it is for a taper of such a short structure (a tooth crown can be from 7mm to 12mm and, of course, after crown prep gets shorter). So the range 6-20 degrees is definitely not too wide. That is the correct answer.Hope it helps Marcela F. Guest guest
Hi ashishI completely agree with you but in churchill for composite inlays they wrote ideal taper is 15-20 degrees.so i think on the whole we can say 6-20 degree. Guest guest
Little strange as all these years hv been following and even practising 6 degrees,,,Anyways, I guess this is what is 'studying the exam' rather than studying 'for' the exam Thanks a lot for confirming the answer.Sent on my BlackBerry® from VodafoneFrom: Kanika Kohli <kanika_sahil@...>Sender: Date: Wed, 29 Feb 2012 20:06:28 +0800 (SGT) < >Reply Subject: Re: Ideal taper Hi ashishI completely agree with you but in churchill for composite inlays they wrote ideal taper is 15-20 degrees.so i think on the whole we can say 6-20 degree.
