According to scully 6th we give oral pencillin V or amoxicillin post operatively to reduce risk of secondary haemorrhage after extraction for patients with haemophilia ., infections induce fibrinolysis.Although I heard that no antibiotics is given as prophylaxis unless there is systemic involvement . What do u think mates? Is there any updated website to check that in?Many thanks Balsam Sent from my iPad

I have searched and searched Online) and didn't find any indication of post operative antibiotic cover for haemophilic patients. I have looked on NICE website and others. Now I am curious...if anybody finds otherwise, please let us know?

Many thanks

Ana
